Yorkie
Was a very exciting time, that. We were playing great attacking football under Keegan, after the misery of Souness, Allardyce et al, and there was a transfer window under new ownership right around the corner. A top 4 challenge surely beckoned.
Pilko
Owen's best spell for us was in that slightly withdrawn role behind Viduka and Martins. Looked like the only time the little cunt was arsed. Such a shame we got Viduka when we did, was such a class player in his earlier years and even when he was at Boro. We still got some flashes of it but he was too far past it. gbandit
Viduka was class aye before us, I don’t even blame him at all for things going to shit. He showed more effort than most

There’s so much bullshit in this? Conveniently not mentioning the champions league qualification twice with shearer- under sir Bobby, the relagation was years later, conveniently also not mentioning the shite players he played ahead of shearer Was a shite manager
Ronaldo
Relegation happened 10 years after he left. Bullshit merchant.

80
It was the surprise of him really managing to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Showed what could be achieved. Looked really promising for the future. Then Ashley fucked it. Edited May 3 by

Gutierrez looked incredible in that Man Utd game especially. Things were looking really promising at that point, then the Milner stuff happened and Keegan was gone within a month. But listened to that Overlap episode yesterday and his section discussing Newcastle was absolutely enraging. Timelines, facts, events, people... It actually becomes quite impressive and fascinating how all over the place he is Edited May 5 by M4

Said the same things about us being relegated soon after etc. etc. Dunno if it's dementia or he's told the same self comforting lies so many times he actually appears to believe them.
