Dan Ashworth (no longer working for Manchester United)

Recommended Posts

The more of these revelations that come out the happier I am he's actually fucking off. That's not any sort of faux outrage or comfort blanket or whatever - the bloke is just a complete fucking snake. We've all worked alongside snidey little cunts you never really trust and you're dancing when they eventually move on to become someone else's problem.

I'm pretty confident he's good at his job and can effect change but when no fucker you work with trusts you then it seeps into everything. He's now rotten, damaged goods and a bit of a liability. Not only has he fucked over his new boss he's also pointing the finger at anyone and everyone other to try and get himself out of the hole he's dug himself into. No idea how he'll do at Man U but I'm genuinely glad he's not here any longer, fuck him.

Eddie Howe had this guys number early on. Knew he was a rat

Seems a long time ago since he was shaking his hand in the stand at Brighton while taking up his seat next to Staveley.

I work closely with a large London law firm and often engage with a Barrister who specialises in employment and sports cases. We were chatting about this today, and they aren’t close to the detail on this, but they mentioned that proving an employee on Garden Leave has performed duties for the new employer could open the door to a Springboard Injunction. This could extend the garden leave even further to account for the period of time the employee breached their terms. They probably haven’t established he’s worked for them (yet)…but could be interesting.

The last thing Dan Dastardly needs is anymore time with a fucking shovel. Digging bigger holes for himself all over the place!

I'm happy that i was calling out this fraud since January, honestly i would've sacked him for the shit job he's done preparing us for this season alone but the fact that we will get paid by those morons to get him out of our club makes it sweeter.

Who knows what other info he provided - Ashworth has lost all his credibility.  Eddie was right to be concerned.

I want the ownership to stick it up Man U to be honest, go after them for tapping up Ashworth, injunction to get disclosure on emails sent from Man U and Ineos accounts, complaint to the premier league for tapping up to get them a ban, fine, points deduction. Really fuck their shit up.

i don’t want the compensation and a hush hush agreement between clubs, let’s expose them properly.

Dying for more details on him trying and failing to delete the email.

Forensics on his browser history reveal he googled several variations of "how do i unsend an email??!" just minutes after.

Not like Luke to be wrong but, unfortunatly, I don't think the PL's tapping up rules apply to directors of football:

J.3. Save as otherwise permitted by these Rules, no Club shall directly or indirectly induce or attempt to induce any Player, Manager, assistant manager, head coach or other senior first team football coach of another Club (or Football League club) to terminate a contract of employment with that other Club (or Football League club) (whether or not by breach of that contract) or directly or indirectly approach any such employee with a view to offering employment without the consent of that other Club (or Football League club).

I want us to go as hard on them over this as they did over our takeover.

If Ashworth reckons he hasn't put in his notice yet, then surely his notice period hasn't started yet?

Doesn't seem like the best defence, IMO.

Not a legal expert but that falls under the section heading of “Employment of officials”. In other parts of section J it mentions officials except in J3. Could it not be argued that J3 is meant to cover officials which I would take to be directors?

I hope they are forensically checking his work phone. He looks like the sort of greasy cunt who’s in a what’s app with these two and has said he’s smash wor Amanda’s back doors in.

Leak the lot the little rat.

Obviously there’s no shortage of false loyalty or dirty underhanded shite in football to better your position/salary. But this guy has well and truly flushed his good reputation down the toilet.

The definition of official is:

A.1.174. “Official” means: (a) any director, employee or representative of a Club, excluding any Player, Intermediary or auditor; and (b) any employee of any Associated Undertaking, Fellow Subsidiary Undertaking, Group Undertaking or Parent Undertaking of that Club who spends (or is to spend) at least 50% of their annual working time undertaking activity for or on behalf of the Club;

So it covers pretty much all staff apart from players. The tapping up rules for players are covered sepperately in section T, they've probably just stuck it in J as well for clarity.
