Do they not have any players the could chuck in to sweeten the deal ?

We can take Mainoo for free, since they think contracts don't mean anything.

One of them on redcafe saying this about us - after Sir Jim Batshit has alienated their staff in the IT dept and the FA cup things

Man U giving everyone a lesson on how not to go about things. I can’t imagine a way in which they could’ve fucked this up more. They could’ve just done it by the book, been professional (ie not insulting the people you’re negotiating with in the press), and made a reasonable compensation offer. Instead they tried to do it in a cheap underhand way, and end up looking like fools. It’s a bit silly.

Comforting to know their new regime is another clown in a minefield though.

In defence of those publications, they may require the information to be sourced by more than one party which may not be possible for clear leaks from ourselves.

Those websites all reported Manure’s likely interest in Ashworth before Manure officially contacted Newcastle. They were hot on the Brailsford link and that he would likely want to work with Ashworth.

If this story had a negative Saudi angle they would be running with it wall to wall! No objectivity in journalism anymore

Takes a certain type of arrogance to take a Europa league cup in 2017 and a league cup win in ‘23 as evidence they’re still the biggest club in the world.

That lot has been on a downward trajectory ever since ferguson left and the brain rot is really starting to take over.

Being the "bigger person" is the right move but honestly i get so much joy from seeing them lose their shit over not getting every call, no matter how inconsequential or borderline (see: their VAR thread), or losing their shit at any club not rolling over and giving them what they want (Ashworth and Longstaff just to name our recent examples).

Their star has faded and the rest of the footballing world is laughing at their decay.

Firstly a bit of observance is that their forum is shite and littered with ads, makes you appreciate even more what we have here

and secondly they are absolute morons.

The highlight was the guy who embedded a tweet saying our fans are stupid and sound like kids in the replies, yet the very tweet he embeds is a Man U fans account celebrating that Freedman has decided to stay. The lack of awareness is staggering.

That Redcafe forum is full of idiots. We don’t give a shit about Ashworth, they can have him but must pay what we want, simple.

This is all caused by them tapping him up, getting him to reveal confidential information, not dealing with us directly, getting him to hand in his notice thinking they’d use confidential information to lowball us and apparently we’re the ones causing the problem. As if we should roll over after all of that and take the pittance they’re offering, fuck right off.

They’re making up bullshit on that forum as cope mechanism but if what’s reported is true we’ve got Ashworth, Berrada, Ineos, and Manu U by the short and curly’s.

Some serious sub-Reddit tier law bro guesswork going on on Red Cafe. Aside from the usual arrogance and entitlement that comes baked in to supporting Man United obviously.

Not only have they assumed that all of this is a 'win' for them, they've also concocted that exact narrative about us.

Love how supporting a club now basically also means being a finance, legislation and HR tribalist based on nothing more than who you support and telling yourself you're the minister of common sense.

Man that was equal measures of infuriating and mind numbing drivel. Why can they not get it into their thick heads we don't care about Ashworth, the club don't care about paying him a wage over principle and how they and Ashworth are the ones in the wrong? This could have been over so quickly if they just came to us and said we like Ashworth, can we talk to him and see if he's interested and if so we can negotiate a fee? This isn't about "tapping up illegally", it's about a complete lack of respect, underhanded tactics, disclosure of confidential information and a derisory, insulting fee offer thinking they can get a cut price on a senior manager they unsettled "well he doesn't want to be there any longer, might as well get rid".

Timu Mike Ashley really showing his true colours and they're lapping it up, can't wait for their Keegan moment.

I have a real hatred for that lot, probably an unhealthy amount of hatred. They are the epitome of entitled cunts. Starts at the top and trickles all the way through the club.
