Done absolutely nothing in the three games he’s played since coming back to justify being ahead of Dubravka. If anything, his performances have made Dubravka’s claim stronger.

Not sure why Dubravka was dropped when playing well, all its going to achieve is that Dubs confidence and momentum from playing regularly and playing well will vanish.

Really worrying decision to bring Pope back tbh

Love Howe but he has his favourites and Pope is one of them

I’d back Dubs until the end of the season. There’s nothing between them on shot stopping now. Pope is better at sweeping of course but Dubs is way better with his feet

Dub's shouldn't have been dropped for Pope at all, literally no reason for it considering Pope has looked poor all season.

Hopefully dropping Dub's hasn't ruined his confidence.

I know he was always iffy, but was he really this bad on the ball in his first season? It's like he's doing a parody of how bad Nick Pope is on the ball

He won’t be coming back in. Howe doesn’t drop his favourites once they’re in the 11. Look at Burn at LB last season.

So if Dubravka drops a clanger on Sunday. Is it going to be Pope’s fault because he might have ‘lost confidence’  After losing his place to our fit again number one and also after a crap game himself at City?

Honestly. The absolute bullshit in this place regarding keepers. Neither are good enough now. Dubravka was past it last season and Pope’s drop off has been horrendous. Gone from being streets ahead of Dubravka. To barely noticeable.

Basically, we should start Ruddy.

He’s been shit with the ball at his feet since youth football. But his other skills meant it wasn’t as noticeable or that you’d be happy to put up with it.

Sadly for us and for him. It seems like the other skills have deserted him and he’a aged 7 years since his shoulder injury and another 3 since the knee.

I think Dubs goes back in now surely. Can’t have a keeper throwing a goal in every game and who can’t kick or dive to his left at all.

Looks an absolute shadow of his former self

When he first came in for Dubravka he had such a presence in goal. He looked imperious. Looks shaky and less mobile now. Injuries have may have knocked him.

Good save towards the end, hopefully he regains some confidence between now and the end of the season. He'll be number 2 or away by next season though.

I think Pope’s here to stay in the league and final. Howe doesn’t drop his favourites.

Longstaff and Trippier are loving playing 90 minutes every week.

Yep the exact bull shit we heard about longstaff and almiron who both got dropped

Give him a better choice than Pope and dubravka and they'd be in net tomorrow. The same way as he'd have Murphy out the team if we had a proper right winger.

Dubravka was shite against city and hes soft as shite. Wish he'd been allowed to fuck off to Saudi now

Longstaff i’ll maybe concede you’re right but even this season he played far too much before Tonali finally came in. Trippier has only really been dropped this season despite being a car crash back end of last.

I can guarantee Pope starts the final and every league game he’s available until the end of the season. Howe doesn’t like to change the back line and has said as much himself when it was so obvious Burn wasn’t working at LB last season.

No idea why he has been put back in. Seems totally random. I mean neither keeper is great, but at least Dubravka offers slightly more on the floor.

Really feel for him because he was unreal before the shoulder injury, which I still blame Schar for

Never thought I’d see the day I’d want Dubs to replace him. I’m trying to be nice as possible but they’re both finished, but purely for his ability with his feet (:anguish:), the fact the defence don’t poo themselves under pressure, and he was unjustly dropped he needs to come back in.

Then bring Pope back in when he inevitably drops a clanger.
