Considering how often cash + player rumours show up in the gossip you'd think that those types of deals happen all the time but I can't think of any involving top-flight clubs from the last decade. Not only do the clubs need to agree on the deal but the player involved needs to agree too. The player has to consider whether they'd be getting the same money and the receiving club will also want to decide whether to risk potentially upsetting a wage structure by accepting the deal. And if the deal doesn't go through, the player who was part of the deal now knows that their club wants rid of them. Of course they think they can just now trot over to Newcastle and have Bruno off us, the cheeky gits. While off course offloading the Kalvin Philips, whose career they've completely wrecked. We'd better not entertain Bruno going there under any circumstances, no matter what they offer. If at any point Bruno does want to leave, he will have to go abroad if it comes to that.
