Pilko
Wood signed a 2.5 year deal so you'd imagine we might try and fetch a fee for him this summer. No way we sell in January unless we get a silly offer, no need to rock the boat in terms of the team spirit either as he clearly is well-liked. There’ll be a lot of players who we were looking at in the summer who might see us differently now They will be kicking themselves if the chance is gone hahah Edited November 12, 2022 by BonesJones

Who we cut from the squad gets stickier but we have room for 1 or 2. More will probably fuck the squad up a bit as someone that has contributed will have to go. jwclark2342
But does our current league position give the owners a reason to go for it this year? Secure CL status and maybe make a deep cup run?

LiquidAK
2 in at most for me - maintaining this team spirit is absolutely paramount. Everyone is so together and fighting for each other.

If we can shift and replace some deadwood that would be nice as well.
wormy
In positively jizzy at the thought of who we might get in to sustain this European charge.
McCormick
Definitely need to get a quality pressing winger, a physically imposing centre-mid and a quality young right-back.
Lenny
Not sure how realistic, but I do think that we could do with 2 or 3 close-to-first-11 quality players in January. We play with such intensity that with the limited alternatives we currently have, burnout is a considerable risk.

The College Dropout
Winger and a CM please. And a young RB. Eventually we’ll pay for having to play Murphy so much.
mikejaxer
An important signing for me is a RB to learn from Trippier. At 32 he isn't going to be around forever, and he's likely to be playing a lot of games for England during the WC as well.

Apparently he has turned down further contract offers from them so they want to get some money in Jan for him
ponsaelius
One real quality midfielder/winger for me to give us a boost but not rock the boat. Only other thing would be a backup right back - as the drop off to Manquillo the other night was mortifying. When there's only 1-2 of them in surrounded by the first-choice XI they've tended to do okay under Howe.
Smal
Wonder if we could get Enzo Fernandez. Only been at Benfica 6 months but they’re out the CL now. Definitely looks like the next big thing alongside Bellingham.
Ikon
No chance of Enzo now (because of price) but he would be the ultimate signing. He’s almost like Bruno but more dynamic. Absolutely amazing if we could get him to play in the deeper role and push Bruno into a more of a 8. His pressing is class, Great on the ball and his passing is progressive too. Very good defensively. Would contribute offensively too. Can’t see it though. Dream! Maybe that Perrone lad can become our future Enzo if we get him. gjohnson
On current form it's a bit difficult to argue who should be replaced. Wood would be the most obvious but he's played an effective (if not goal scoring) role, and obviously Trippier isn't getting any younger, but I don't know of any right back who is as influential and effective at the moment. At least 9 of our current starting 11 are playing well enough to make themselves undroppable going into the January window
