Hasn't Gallagher been shite this season?

He has not looked good since the first half of his Crystal Palace loan in 2021 imo.

Caveat being he's better than Longstaff though. Loan with an option would be decent.

My thoughts exactly. Hasn't looked good at Chelsea and is probably why they are happy to let him go.

Having said that, if Howe wants him, that's all I need to know.

Because they've gone mental in the transfer market and their squad is bloated. Beggars can't be chosers.

I guess that would mean the probability of us getting a loan from them is very small.  They’d loan to any team they’re not competing with first.

who knows though.  I was wrong on Gordon.  I didn’t think he’d end up here.

Chelsea have tbf but he's always looked the 'brighter' spark when I have watched them. He also presses/doesn't stop running which suits Eddies tactics.  Be a good signing.

Gallagher on a loan with an option would suit everyone.

Gallagher gets to see if he likes it "up north".

We get to see if he's good enough.

Chelsea get a permanent sale at the end of it and probably a decent fee.

Worst case scenario, Chelsea can flog him elsewhere in the summer.

Probably accept catching nufc this season isnt likely and want the wage bill reduced.

They may view it as a there's a higher chance we'd buy him for a higher price permanently in the summer than Palace too.
