Hanshithispantz
Iirc there was 2 versions like, one where it could hit the ground and one where it couldn’t. In he former sometimes half volleys would even be allowed for added lethality.
Astroblack
The one time I attempted a bicycle kick I damn near dislocated my shoulder. Hats off to those guys.

Jaqen
I don't get it. Wasn't the goal to keep the ball up? It's dangerous. It just doesn't make sense to me. I’ve not seen those videos but if it’s the same thing, it’s a legit sport over there. The overhead kicks are the best way to be able to generate enough power to get the ball over the net to score a point. It is a bit mental though aye https://youtu.be/C1UdKLOpqO4
Tiresias
Reading When Saturday Comes, an anonymous player talks about reasons they've rejected transfers, one was because the manager of the club gave his wife the creeps. Bet anyone £100 it was Pardew
Incognito
Kevin Beattie has died aged 64. Cracking centre half of Bobby's early Ipswich team who would have been an all-time England great if it wasn't for permacrock knees. RIP.
Jimburst
Anyone seen those videos online of kids playing some sort of foot volleyball in the forest? I'm sorry but thats so foreign to me. To me the goal has always been to keep the ball up not flying competitive bicycle kicks. You watched a video of some foreign lads playing a sport that isn't football, then complain it seems foreign to you? It's clearly not football. Conjo
Does it specifically have to be played in a forest, or is it supposed to be with a volleyball like net as on the video posted?

BlueStar
Burnley seem to want people to work as stewards for free. https://twitter.com/burnleyofficial/status/1041608315598503936?s=
BlueStar
Oh look, they deleted the tweet Basically they were asking for people to be "Match Day Heroes" and do the job of stewards - while missing the match - for free. https://www.burnleyexpress.net/news/shameful-burnley-football-club-slammed-by-fans-for-unpaid-work-ad-1-9354550 Had a quick look on a Burnley forum and of the first posts was "Sounds like something Mike Ashley would do." HaydnNUFC
Douglas Costa banned for 4 games. Benefits of being one who usually keeps his nose clean and who wears Juve colours. Mainly the latter. Fino alla fine.
Village Idiot
The Spanish FA has formally told La Liga that it won't give authorization to playing league games abroad, citing that it would question the purity of the competition.

Guest firetotheworks
That's good news. Do they have the final say too?
Village Idiot
They do, but politically they will probably budge if La Liga manages to muster enough internal support (mainly, the players, the clubs already are in favor).
jdckelly
wouldn't they still need permission from the american FA and concacaf since it is their turf?
Paully
This wanker has obviously forgotten his comments about Milner when he was our manager! When asked whether he would take Milner in his team over Pogba, Souness didn't need time to consider an answer. 'It isn’t even a question. Milner, every day of the week. He’s a proper player. Who would I rather play against? Paul Pogba,' Souness added.
