Were football matches generally higher scoring games in the past, because the average height of the keeper was way shorter?

Just a random thought when I saw something about the smaller goal debate in women’s football.

 How do you know it didn't happen? His dad's got an interest in the Women's World Cup and the little lad's obviously become aware of it himself.

Any time there's gender equality stories, the Pc GoNe MaD brigade on twitter monotonously tweet that Manchester will have to be renamed Personchester. Not like realising Manchester contains the word 'man' is a brand new revelation.

He cannat moan about the response, though. It was always going to get that reaction from Twitter.

In all fairness, theirs no need for people to start having a go at him.

Give over. Loonies like him deserve all the shit they get.

I’m not a fan of his, but giving him abuse for something his child could quite possibly have said is not on.

It probably happened, but people posting deep philosophical insight from todlers is one of the worst things on twitter.

“The times are changing”

The worst thing about giving everyone a voice with social media, is that you give everyone a voice.

People just want to be mad at the world, and if that means abusing a toddler by proxy, then they will do that.

And some utter psychos will claim that calling somebody a fantasist is bullying their children, by proxy.

Making your children the centre of your own attention seeking is more abusive if you ask me.

If it did happen it's because the kid made the link between man/woman and Manchester. It wasn't social commentary. Maybe if the kid had said transchester vs womanchester.

I’m not sure he’s making his children the centre of his own attention seeking though. He’s a journalist who covers NUFC, he can and does gain massive amounts of attention from that alone and doesn’t need to use his child to do so. I honestly think it was only just a light commentary on what happened with his son.

If you want to argue that he’s using social media for narcissism, then go ahead, it’s exactly what social media is and he’d be no different than anyone else who uses a social media account.

How do you know this? Luke is in France covering the womans world cup and has his kid with him, every chance it's related to womans football given the level of exposure to it his kid will be getting.
