Think Van Basten suggested it a few year ago. The same van basten that wants rid of the offside law. :lol: Wonder how the game would be without it. The fear originally was always goal hanging. Cambiasso at Leicester was an odd one at the time Ravanelli to Middlesbrough and Klinsmann to Spurs were game changes IMO for the English league. Yeah I thought of van der Sar today actually and Fulham was a strange move. Mascherano and Tevez at West Ham was weird but that was obviously a bit dodgy. They weren’t exactly top players, for them of course, but in world football they weren’t. Juninho was for example was no better than Kinkladze. For a nowt club Boro have at least dabbled with being ridiculous and have had some great players. Boksic was absolutely class too even if he was made of popadoms. At total odds with the Mackems who just wanted XI hardmen to play kick and rush. Remember Boro getting a 3-3 at Old Trafford and it being a brilliant game.
