So, will anyone have the courage to ever watch the cup final highlights again?

For our winning goal scorer to join the opponents soon after, behaving shamefully, will be hard to ever forget.

As mad as it sounds, this is near the top of my grievance list. First trophy in my lifetime only a few months ago, and now find it hard to enjoy the re-watches. Isak could have left without acting absolute cunt, but wasn't to be.

Doubt he'll say goodbye to the squad as they'll all view him as a total cunt as well.

Without Murph he's a 10 goal a season charlatan. 😉

Not quite (!) but same non-penalty goals as Wissa. Who a fair few on this forum do not want because he's not good enough, 50M is an overpay, etc. etc.

fwiw, 6 penalties won by Anthony Gordon in 23-24 was the most in years and nobody else has got that many in the VAR era, where dives and contact outside the box can be chalked off. That's six free goals for Isak.

We might get the last laugh, if Isak does not set the world on fire, gets injured etc., but we sure as hell are not going to get it this week. Whatever deal at whatever price will be described as "masterful transfer tactics" from Liverpool. We all know this already. Get yourself a sick bucket ready.

Sounds daft but I've barely watched them anyway, rarely if ever watch back games I've been to, although admittedly there are reasons to make an exception here!

It wouldn't stop me though, the other players, the team and the club won the cup, not this tosspot by himself

Baldwards makes a very valid point about this being a cave-in if we sell below 150 mind

Anything that doesn’t meet our conditions of sale is a cave in. We never know 100% the facts but it’s safe to assume 2 forwards in of suitable quality first is one of them. As for the fee condition always more doubt but you’d like to think it would be nearer £150m than it would be £110. The much rumoured incoming 2nd bid of £130m still short IMO and would need to include £10m in add ons if taking emotion from the situation.

Mike - you brought me up on making a joke at the expense of Jota, and yep, hands up, you were right to do that. Fair enough.

However 'cocksucker' is rooted in homophobia and there's no need for it.

If it is, I was unaware. But I can see that now. Fair enough.

It's an interesting point whilst tounge in cheek. He's success for us came from moving ball forward back to front quick, high turnover and quick tranistions.

If TAA was there still, he'd thrive. But it's a different side now so his strengths may not be maximised. Etitike whilst has scored in every game, is needed differently to what Isak was like at us.

£130m + (fairly achievable) add-ons taking it close/up to £150m, a sell-on clause and he has to submit a transfer request.

Take or leave it, Isak/agent and dippers.

He will probably do well in Liverpool given how many chances they generate, but I don't think he will justify the price tag.

This is something that I've actually thinking about for some time, when all the people started talking about him as though he is the best striker in the world and easily our best player.

I still maintain that Bruno is our best player, so for this inflated price I don't mind selling Isak. It's just the behaviour around it that bothers me.

Plus we do still need a proven goalscorer to be signed before we let Isak go for a price we consider acceptable. Woltemade is a very exciting player, but he's not PL proven, and as far as I know, he's coming off the back of only one good season in Germany. He's still very much unproven over here so there is always some risk. If we sign Wissa, then yeah we can look at selling Liverpool Isak....at the right price.
