Liverpool are too good and he is too good for this not to happen. The only thing stopping this from happening is if his injury and fitness issues since the Carabao cup final are genuine long term issues rather than him just downing tools and looking to prevent injury prior to his move. Either way, I am going to take no comfort in Isak playing poorly or his lack of fitness, at least until we have both Wissa and Wolt fit and scoring. I’m sort of happy he hasn’t done well yet, but I guess at some point he will. That’s the luxury clubs like Liverpool have. While we need a bargain and a hit with every transfer, they can spend £100m on someone they don’t really need and bed him in while the £80m alternative scores goals for them.
