Alexander Isak: has a chance to play against Everton (Howe)

Recommended Posts

Needs to start next match. I get keeping faith with a team that hasn't lost but keeping faith with a forward line which scores zero makes no sense.

I'd like to see him and ASM from the start next match, they've both shown it's time to rotate things.

That was such an Isak performance. Absolute nightmare to play against, as he's all over the attack, and has the ability and pace to skin anyone.

I'd start Isak in the return leg ahead of Callum, and then play Isak as some sort of "false 10" behind Wilson for West Ham. He is so good at just taking up a free role in attack, drift wide when he needs to or come deep to collect and run St defenders. Always been his main strengths.

I'm absolutely not comparing them as players, but that assist reminded me a bit of Messis at the world cup. Messis was better obviously, but the way they both skin their defender and lays it on a plate from the right is a bit similar.

His little bits of creative thinking are making a difference in these deadlocks.

Without starting the Tino debate - he's like Tino coming into that team and just providing a little extra dynamic (we were off the boil before but winning and he got plenty of very creative assists and goals)
