The College Dropout
Plays like an attacker used to someone else doing the dirty attacking work. Or someone used to playing with a partner. I would like to see him play with Wilson.
bulivye
His failure to mark his man for their goal is the pisser for me.

He's not a player to just stick in one spot and wait for a couple of touches. He seems to be starting these sort of games a lot, where there's not much space for him to attack. He's not a target man, he needs to be played in.

I actually thought he wasn't bad on the ball etc. but that was just shit from him.

Holloway
He's got a deceiving constitution about him, spindly limbs but something of a sturdy look about the torso
BonesJones
Anyone think he'd do really well in a sort of Henry role on the left. Being able to run at players, and have a bit more space, rather than stuck in the middle against teams that are sitting deep?

HaydnNUFC
His first start in 5 months after looking good in his cameos. Was poor like, no getting away from that, but so were all the other fuckers behind him. Just have to put it down as one of those days. Think next week's game will suit him better. Dr Jinx
The team created nothing for him. I mean even just a pass to him around the box to get a shot off, there was nothing.
Klaus
Doesn't look like an out and out striker tbh. He looks at his best, picking the ball up from a deeper position and running at the defence, rather than with his back to it.

Lotus
He needs midfield runners. He’s quite cute at dropping off and helping the build up but we didn’t have anyone from midfield or from the wings running into the space he’d vacated (whilst dragging a CB with him). You’d think Willock/JL7, Miggy or ASM could do that as a natural part of their game….
The Prophet
Poor, if only Shelvey was still here.
Geordie Ahmed
He was awful, was quite surprised at how bad he played but it's only a concern if this becomes the norm, which I'm convinced won't be the case
Theregulars
Shit today. That’s why Wilson is first choice. Doesn’t look ready to start. Back to the bench and rightly so.
KaKa
The four that started behind him were absolutely terrible for most of the game, and they didn't consistently get him the ball in good areas or make his life any easier whatsoever. Love his movement and willingness to move into the channels as well as drop into space. Wasn't great on the ball today, but kept going till the end and worked hard for the team. So much more to come from him. The least of my concerns. Going forward we will really need better options out wide and better number 8s too. Growing very weary of the players in those positions at the minute and our strikers will suffer for it.
Mountain
He was clean through like 10 times but nobody is aware enough to play the through ball.
La Parka
He's not a "striker". He needs a body to do the shit jobs up top so he can attack from wide and deep.
McCormick
He’s certainly not a back-to-the-goal striker, like. Looked a bit like a newly-born giraffe out there but he’s getting used to a new league and getting his match sharpness back; what he was up against yesterday will have been much different to anything he’ll have experienced on the continent. The guy will need time to adapt. Edited February 12, 2023 by McCormick
1964
Classic dog chasing a balloon performance, he rarely had control of the ball at any point
Guest reefatoon
Hard to judge him today when we gave our worst midfield performance of the season. They were terrible today.
Cronky
He looked a bit isolated today, but things gradually improved, particularly after Gordon came on. I think he needs a licence to roam, which will mean making sure that we get players moving into scoring positions from the midfield. Wilson tends to just hang around in the centre, and by the last defender.
Smal
He definitely needs players running beyond him. His passing is really good. Don’t feel like Gordon ever got beyond him or even near him as an option because he was too bothered about overloading the wings, and the wingers were too wide.
