Comment from Kieran Maguire about Liverpool

"They've still got plenty of wiggle room with their transfer budget. Plus, a move for a striker is likely to be paid in instalments, meaning the cost can be spread over multiple seasons."

Get lost £200 mil up front jokers

I don't really follow this stuff. They might have some flexibility, but do they have the money? PSR headroom and actual cash are different. You could have all the PSR headroom in the world but no cash. They went all-in pretty fast. They'll need to make some sales to get cash flowing.

The likes of Kieran often miss that part out, but to be fair to him. Its not why he will be brought on to say.

Indykalia is the the account that posted that weird letter to nufc to let Isak join his dream club or something bullshit earlier in the summer wasn't it.

Also that video on the other page reminded me of another pet hate. News outlets like sky and many others on YouTube etc continuously posting pictures of players in the shirt colours of the teams linked to them long before a deal is even close to happening. I don't even like it when I see it done for us in Newcastle shirts. It's cringe and disrespectful.

If Isak does want to leave and say Liverpool offer 150m or close to that, it seems sensible to cash in on him at peak value this summer. We have tried to tie him down with a new contract for months but there seems to be little progress. I know he is world class, but he is relatively injury prone and the incoming funds will significantly help round out the squad and give us lots of PSR headroom in the next few windows.

If he does leave, hopefully it will be our Coutinho moment.

Would rather another 3 years of him in his prime then let him leave on a free than sell to Liverpool.

Love Isak. But the club will outlive him and any other player.

I’ll be supporting the this club long after isak has retired.

200m or do one.

Everywhere I have read the new contract was to be discussed this summer. Player only came back holiday a while ago.

I don't care how much they offer.  I wouldn't sell to them for any amount.

All of this noise from Liverpool does make me think Isak / His agent have maybe encouraged it behind the scenes

He knows he’s worth £250,000/£300,000 a week and not getting that here. (Plus a huge signing on fee)

Fans forget it’s just a job to players and as much as he likes it here , he will learn to like it elsewhere.

I think the club know this deep down hence Ekitike bid / interest and willing to cover the move in advance

I don't think he cares that much if it is 200k or 250k a week. Players want to play at the top. If Newcastle make progress and show ambition, they can win things and convince him to stay. If we sell our best players, it will affect everyone at the club and the future when we try to buy players.
