I agree to some extent, but players rejecting moves to Saudi or cutting short their stint over there shows that not all footballers are money grabbers

Going to Liverpool on the back of them winning the league isn’t the definition of a money grabber. We are progressing but Liverpool are already at the top and he’s going to be tempted.

The point I was responding to wasn’t specific to Isak, the poster (Mr JB Comesock) was just saying that players want as much money as they can possibly get and I was pointing out that some do, but some don’t

One thing that hasn't been mentioned in all this is....surely the other cartel clubs won't just sit by and let Liverpool have a free run at Isak if we agreed to sell him.

Surely he almost ensures a period of Liverpool dominance if they get him and those with the cash to compete with them won't want to allow that to happen. Even if they don't need him you would think Man City will join the race even just to drive up the price atleast.

Arsenal have shot their bolt. Chelsea surely too. Man United is a downgrade. Spurs are Spurs.

Man City is the only other option and might be a bit tied up with massive fee signings with the charges.

I've thought before now that Liverpool waited until Arsenal were out the way.

So when do we start catastrophising about a Saudi PIF club buying Salah next summer and giving them cunts the money to buy Isak anyway?

To be fair fast forward to next summer, a lot will depend if we are in CL 26-27 or not. made a big difference that we are in it for 25-26.

if we dont do it, it will be hard to reason with some big bids that would see players leave for a CL side or stay to fight in EL with a hope we may or may not get back into CL for the season after.

we also need to get our salaries closer to those teams above us, which is only possible with becoming a CL regular to lead to more commercial income and prizes.

Good to see they're taking the news well.

Not sure why. But it made me laugh that an account that has a black and white photo of their recently deceased player. Is wishing injury on a player of another club  all because they didn’t get their way in the transfer market.

Twitter is an absolute cesspit. Glad to be rid of it.

 Seems legit

[It is also worth noting that there would be no issues regarding a potential transfer, despite both clubs being owned by the PIF.

Yeah, no issues at all. Unless it's £300/400m.
