The more this digests the more I feel confident his agent has been briefing from minute one.

I think Liverpool made a clear call when singing Ekitike and are likely watching on to see if he becomes available for a price they can afford. Signing both was never previously discussed by Liverpool. Ekitike was the domino to them getting Isak.

It's telling that Craig Hope's piece describes him as a good lad, and yet he's downed tools, walked out of training, and asked to skip part of preseason without a formal bid on the table. I get it, folk need to put themselves first, Eddie Howe said as much with his 'short career' remark, but when you're trying to spin that behavior as that of a 'good lad' it tells me who's feeding you the story.

Isak pays his agent to advise and make these calls, so I don't even put much blame on the player. It's more that I don't think anything we could have done this summer would have worked. He hasn't put a transfer request in because he forgoes money to do so.

I will repeat for the hard of hearing. Alexander Isak is not for sale this summer. Not to Liverpool. Not to Saudi Arabia. Not to anyone. No amount of fake news, fraudulent in the know chancers or selective quote using aggregator accounts will alter that stance from Newcastle #NUFC

Tell you what’s massively underrated lads? Putting your phone down and going outside. I did it for a few hours and almost forgot about this absolute shit show.

Five stars. Would recommend.

Where is this ‘outside’ you speak of?

I would be less bothered if I had may confidence in us getting deals done.

Very much this. I said before the window that i wasn’t confident about us doing enough despite it being massively important. I also questioned the experience and skill of the people in charge of trying to get deals done. Got told that Nickson and mini Howe etc had more than enough and that they’d get it sorted.

Its lovely to show Man City's commercial income isnt it? No one is coming close to replicating that because the bunch of cunts at the PL pulled the bridge up behind them.

Man City weren't even on par with us before their owners mega spunked money on them.

I'm all for having a level playing field but that horse bolted long ago, PSR needs scrapped.

The PL had the chance to bring in a club Salary and Transfer cap in years ago when Abramovic started spending money like a kid in Smiths but they were asleep on the job.

All hail Richard Masters, has to be a front runner in the most inept people still in a high profile job.

Could this simply be when he signed he was offered incentives based on CL qualification, winning silverware etc, im sure midway through his deal he went from alleged 120k to 150k, based on the champions league qualifying first time round.

He's now helped win a trophy and qualifying again for the CL therefore his agent has asked for a further improvement to his deal, (Mitchell) the club haven't honored the improved contract, and now Isak is fed up and wanting out, tbf he should be the highest paid player at the club without doubt.

Perhaps this was why Mitchell criticised the clubs transfer policy, if Amanda was delivering incentives to players contracts that the club couldn't fulfil.

I dunno its just a theory.

What's he going to do? Spend three years sitting in the training ground?

I'd make him live in his agents house for three years
