As the past few weeks will settle and take 135-140m for him now imo. If we keep him that's likely the highest amount we will get for him imo. Especially he remains in a huff. only way he doesn’t depreciate in value is by both quickly reintegrating and playing like he has the past couple of years.

Contracts shorter, players getting older. Not saying we might not be happy to double down and take the loss but the probability of making a loss on him after this window is far higher than anything else imo

It’s not about the money now, it’s about the club publicly demonstrating that it can’t be manipulated by agents and online influencers masquerading as journalists.

I’d also say we where right to not give him a new deal last summer [emoji38]

Or this… not just because he’s found out to be a snivelling cunt, but also for business reasons. It makes total sense with the PSR restrictions imposed upon us to postpone new contract talks until we’re in the final two years of the contract. Why go and pay someone a couple of mill extra when that money could be put towards getting another first team player in, increasing our chances of CL qualification and thereby our ability to keep growing and increase his and other key players’ wages throughout. Surely this would have been discussed and explained to him as well. Clearly the cunt decided he’d had enough of the project and wanted his pay rise here and now and was even prepared to burn all bridges to try and get it. I wonder how he will reflect on this later on life. Every chance he will look back at his time here as the best of his career in terms of being idolised and being part of a united team of players with camaraderie and fight, until he let his agent’s and his own greed get the better of himself.

Only statement I want or need from the club is a number. The exact amount of money (cumulatively) he's being fined for each breach of his contract. Updated weekly please on a Monday morning to help warm the cockles of my heart before another week of graft :aww:

They can't release details like that without breaching their responsibilities as an employer.

They could make a general statement that any player who makes themselves unavailable without due cause will be fined.

I'd keep him at the club then not register him for champions league.

Because of his conduct. 😂

I wouldnt register him for any competition.  Would give his squad number to someone else. Would remove his dressing room seat. Would even remove his allocated parking space.

If he doesnt want to take part, then he doesnt take part full stop.

I can’t really remember what Michael Owen did apart from being a generally detestable person. Surely nothing anywhere near to this?

He used to get flown into training from a chopper cause he couldn't be arsed to live near by

I agree with Edwards, the club will release a statement in response to this.

I wouldn’t hold my breath… Isak just made a complete fool of himself. Absolutely no need to divert attention from it. Everybody with an ounce of integrity and common sense will see right through that statement.

A statement of fact is all that's needed, he's not transfer listed, but we would consider selling but nobody has met the reasonable and relative asking price and he's under contract so were under zero obligation to move forward with things. Whatchagonna do!?

The club could come out and say that, how he was told that there would be talks for a new contract but they had to be postponed due to PSR, something that stops ambitious clubs from rewarding their better players and stopped us competing for the best players in terms of transfer fees and wages.

Use it as a stick to bash PSR now there is so much attention on the club.

This desperate ploy will also likely prevent him from being sold - he has went public, if we have interest in a striker the selling club would know we're now desperate which means we're unlikely to do a deal. What a PR disaster!

I know the situation calls for anger and pitchforks, but I'm just sat here laughing at it all, mainly as everyone on the internet is calling him a cunt in different and imaginative ways
