Just been reading one fan talking about Coutinho wanting to leave for Barcelona, saying that even though Liverpool initially told him no and they ended up getting more than they bid for Isak, he's sure Liverpool would have let him go for less as it's the right thing to do 🤣
RS
Looks like the press are now seeing the game poor little Alex and his rescuers Liverpool have been trying to play. Just a pity it’s took a fortnight to get to the right conclusions.

I used to quite like them, similar city background to ourselves. They can just fuck right off now though. Absolute entitled wankers. It's easy to forget that probably 90% of the drivel you see spouted by the E-scousers is most of them haven't even stepped foot in the country, nevermind Liverpool. Then another 8% are spread out over the country because their great, great, great grandad liked the colour red.

Optimistic Nut
Reckon a deadline day swap loan for Toney if he hasn't put his dummy back in by then? I'm sure he'd have a season here to put him back in Tuchel's mind for next summer.

SteV
Doesn’t Toney have to pay a huge tax bill if he comes back within two years? Was that not part of the reason Henderson went to Ajax?

JonBez comesock
I hear lots of people say , everyone will forget if he stays and scores a few goals What happens when he has a stinker ? Boos / Whistles / Songs/ Jeers will be deafening The pressure on him will be 10 fold to produce the goods On top of this , you will get fans booing anyway as you always have a small minority not accepting what he has done

Magic Rat
On this forum since Isak issued his statement last night the opinions against him from NUFC fans seem to have strengthened. His agent will be delighted. The more it appears that there is no way back for Isak with the fans the more likely the club is to sell to Liverpool. There are also a number of posts saying sell him to someone other than Liverpool. It's probably not a realistic option His agent most likely has already hawked him round all the possible clubs before landing on Liverpool. It's quite possible that only Liverpool with their £110m offer (probably hoping to settle at about £120m) was by far the best offer. If there was someone else there prepared to do a better deal (or even something similar) I suspect the agent would have got them involved by now. NUFC probably have the options of £120m from Liverpool, £90m ish from someone else or don't sell

He has to show humility and put the work in, not only for the fans but in training with his team mates. The reaction of the fans will be purely based on his actions. Club have their valuation and at this stage probably won't sell even if £150m is submitted as we'd need two more players at least.

NUFC probably have the options of £120m from Liverpool, £90m ish from someone else or don't sell Sorry but this is bollocks. He’s not leaving for £120m, never mind £90m. We can still fetch (well) north of £100m next summer, when his book value will be less - I think it works like that anyway. When an unproven player is moving to the Premier League for £116m, then a striker who’s universally considered top 5 in Europe with a proven track record in PL will get north of £100m, even with 2 years left. Even Enzo Fernandez was over £100m after a good World Cup nearly 3 years ago. I’m confident that we will get what’s been bid this summer, next summer. Standards need to be set. Mike Ashley doesn’t own us anymore.
Terraloon
Not going to play Billy big ones in all this because there but for the grace of and all that but one thing that not too sure what the majority views are but what will be the case if Isak is still at yours come 1/9 and still is playing silly buggers and you haven’t got a replacement in what will be the options for you up front ?
