I think 135m plus add ons but they’ll definitely offer again after the match

It's a whole bloody industry on rumours and because it's so unimportant in the grand scheme of things the fact that plenty are just extensions of a clubs pr is not regulated in any meaningful way. For the record random twitter personalities venting opinions online aren't journos and are fine to exist i guess but they're not journos. Real journos will often be just reporting on rumour that is bullshit and sometimes they are unfairly castigated for passing on a message but it's all a big mess. My problem is this is often because journos jobs are dependent on clicks, and fair and accurate reporting doesn't lead to more clicks.

I think if you're outside of the clubs involved/affected, this is probably quite a nice side-story to watch. But as a fan, wanting to get on with the season and look forward to matches, this really does make me fed up. Go, stay - I've lost the will to care. Just GTF on with it and let's play football.

And yet, I keep coming back here for further punishment.

I have a Liverpool supporting friend who messaged me in all seriousness and said "Yep and how easy would it have been for toon to take £110m and go looking for a striker with money in the bank "

Deluded beyond belief.

Hope you called him a cunt.

Looks like they are waiting for us to sign someone before making a bid

If this is their stance they need to fuck off and we need to keep telling them that. They think they can unsettle someone to the point of us giving up, signing someone to replace him, then taking him. Has to be a firm no up to the end.

When you speak to genuine match going Liverpool fans you realise that they are worried about their forward line for the  coming season.

Admittedly they are not as up the shit as we are, but they are losing Nunez, Diaz, Jota, and Salah for a busy period due to AFCON. They have of course got Ekitike but they are a potential injury away from somewhat of a crisis by their standards.

If we get the replacements in we should be pushing for every last penny from Liverpool.

They defo need a forward of some sort. Also heard they could move Frimpong to winger and Bradley to RB. Frimpongs a midget

I'd be astonished if Ekitike is being paid 250k a week. Sounds like bullshit tbh.

What matters here is whether Isak believes Ekitike is on 250k a week, as reported by German sources used by Sky Sports.

Liverpool's wage bill is nearly 400M quid off a near 700M turnover. It takes a lot of very high salaries to reach 400M. They can afford and probably pay multiple players very high salaries, otherwise 400M would not be the total. They probably also slip Romano and Orstein 10 grand to report BS lower salaries to fans to keep them onside and buying shirts and tickets.

Our wage bill is about 220M. If you assume Liverpool has a far larger organization with loads more low salaries for loads more admin staff, it likely means their first team will be on at least 50% more than our lads, with bigger spikes for their superstars.

That being the case, they are verging on negligence if they are putting all their eggs in the Isak basket

Nothing that has happened makes it make less sense. Before the agent's shenanigans, Liverpool's perception was that 'Newcastle wont sell Isak and are trying to buy Ekitike. If they succeed we risk getting neither'. If Liverpool 'only want' Isak and Isak 'only wants' Liverpool and Newcastle 'only want' Ekitike, it makes no sense for them to buy Ekitike. The agent's reaction timed after the Ekitike deal, the intransigence of NUFC and the statements that we met in March to war game our strategy to keep hold of Isak, all support this version of events.

The only viable alternative, that it was a Liverpool power move to take Ekitike and Isak, falls down on the timing of the agent's actions. The 'liking' of Elanga's transfer, the generally positive demeanour of Isak right up until that transfer happens doesnt support a Liverpool strategy to get both as that would have been in place since the start of the summer. Not in reaction to out bid for Ekitike. Which remember, is the true beginning of the Isak saga.

There you go, thats the best case i can make.

Genuine question, what would/could the 'Add ons' be ?

I don't know why we have to consider them. It should just be a straight out, flat fee - £ 150 Million (minimum)
