Not annoyed by this sale as feel it was going to happen and the way the cunt has been acting the last 2 months has softened the blow for me in terms of him leaving. If another striker is brought in tomorrow and the rest of the money is invested wisely then I think we're still fine to keep pushing for Europe/UCL again.

What I find annoying is why did we put out that statement if we were going to end up selling

i spoke to plenty at Leeds and the other 2 games who just wanted the cunt gone.

no talk of feeling embarrassed or as some one mentioned earlier "having their pride hurt" at not getting 150m.

they wanted him gone, and for us to move on as a club.

i choose to remain positive.

also i'm not naive enough to think that every decent player we sign will be here for the length of their contracts.

the club is bigger than any player.

we can look to loosen our wage structure slightly in the hop of keeping players for longer.

It’s not utter bollocks though, read through this thread over the past few weeks. You are in a WhatsApp group that I’m in where it’s been mentioned. Go on social media and look at it, look at all the people on YouTube videos and being interviewed for cameras saying that we should get rid of him.

I've barely left this thread for weeks. The idea that people were wholesale saying we had to just get rid of him is utter bollocks.

Everyone wants rid of him, I'd be staggered if the majority wanted rid of him on his terms, £25m under asking price, to Liverpool, with no replacement.  No one wanted that.

I’ll say this now, if he does the same for Liverpool as he did for us, in 2 years time he’ll not be there, even if it means he’s got to pull this stunt again.

Maybe not even two years. Play a blinder of a season and take Sweden far in the world cup (perhaps even nick a golden boot), and it's hello Real Madrid.

This looks like smoke and mirrors. Nobody confirms this and SSN(I know) would be all over this rumour or not. Nada, nothing.
In the real world, to keep such a disgruntled player I'd just cutting everyone's nose off. No matter how much you fine him, ostracise him, you cannot simply throw him into the pitch and say,"Play!"

All the media would be all over this. They aren't.

It's getting kept for tomorrow to keep ppl watching

That's the point I was making. Everyone wants him gone but obviously it's conditional upon not selling ourselves short or becoming cucks.

Usually part of the fee goes to his youth clubs. To AIK in this case.

Doesn’t the buying club pay that though?

Why does it mean an extra £5m for Newcastle if Liverpool aren’t paying it?

It's a football forum it's what happens.

It isn't bollocks that folk have wanted Isak sold. Anyone saying it is, is deluded.

Folk haven't wanted us to bend over and be shafted by Liverpool and it appears we have, at this stage. However, it is convenient to not consider developing key factors and not at least consider why we may have finally taken this decision at this stage.

There is nothing wrong with attempting to review the positives and negatives to further understand or formulate an opinion on whether this is a good or bad move. That's what we should all do.

History dictates that the decisions undertaken by the management of the club have been (in the majority) nothing but positive for us to date. Therefore, I choose to back them not berate them, in what has been an incredibly difficult circumstance.

All of the good football decisions were Led by Amanda.

This regime of Elanga, Thiaw, Osula, Ramsey, the GK, and Nick W are unproven.

No, I don't believe so.

The bit that doesn't add up is Ornstein saying the deal is worth 130m... but Liverpool paid 125m?

Or is it just poorly worded and he meant that Liverpool paid 5m as the solidarity component?
