Hope he retires like Owen, where he doesn’t have one set of fans that adore him. Not invited to ex player meetings, or to open new academy buildings etc.

Cunt.

This. He's a destitute player, fans of any club (Liverpool included) would've been appalled by the way he forced his move, whenever a player goes on strike without good reason, the overwhelming majority of fans will call it out.

Interesting to hear that he isn't popular among the Liverpool squad. Part of me is convinced that the only reason they signed him is cause VVD was sick of being torched by him

I've actually done a 180 from wanting him to have a horrific and career ending injury. Now I hope he continues to serve up dogshit performances week in, week out, infuriating Scouse cunts all over the world.

Still hope he gets robbed every CL away game, like :bluestar:

I’m going to believe that the condition VVD signed a new deal was that Liverpool had to sign Isak for this :D

There's a lot to unpack about how badly he's doing at the moment but I think it's a combination of all the factors.

1. He's a player who while himself styles himself as an all round player who wants to get on the ball deep and wide he actually thrives best when he's playing central and benefitting from the ball played into him quickly and getting good crossing service from wide players, something he doesn't get at Liverpool with all their direct wide forwards cutting inside and slower build up.

2. He's always had fitness issues that need managing - and spending the summer off the way he did will have not helped him one bit. He will still not be 100% fit.

3. He is somewhat disliked by the wider footballing public due to the way he went on and there is undoubtedly huge pressure on him to perform both because of that and because of the huge fee. Liverpool fans would support him, but not hitting the ground running mean they themselves will get frustrated.

All of this can build up and contribute cumulatively to an ever increasing case of the yips.

Unfortunately I think eventually one way or another it will click for him, whether that requires a new manager or change of personnel. Obviously I hope not, but it would be too sweet for him to remain terrible forever.

And unfortunately, I still don't think we're better off having lost him up to now, and that is reflected in our inconsistency and inability to turn leads into comfortable wins the way we used to. I'm not convinced Woltemade has his ruthless finishing ability and his lack of pace to frighten the opposition means our default is too often 10 yards deeper than it was. I am holding out hope that Wissa coming in will mean we've enhanced the team in the aggregate.

When Wissa is an option. That's really when we get to judge if we are better off having lost him. I'm sure we are all hoping for Wissa to hit the ground running, but he may need time. Hoping he tears it up [emoji38]

I think Wissa is going to explode onto the scene. Looking forward to it.

He hasn't been a success every where he went and while he looked world class with us clearly he wasn't the only factor in looking that way.

Class is permanent and form is temporary but even some Liverpool fans must be starting to worry they have signed something not quite as a sure thing as 100m should bring.

They're only a Jurgen Klopp re-appointment away (if he wants it) from being class again. Great to see him stinking the place out mind.

You've heard of Elf on a Shelf, now meet:

Bald fraud put to the sword

Arne Slot in a job center parking lot

Management minger squeezed out through the wringer
