They're the ultimate cautionary tale in how easy it is to spend a lot of money on players who aren't good enough to take you to another level. The 15-30 million pricepoint is so dangerous. Only positive thing about the whole thing atm is their new stadium, but won't it financially fuck them if they get relegated? We've seen how Spurs' ground hampered them financially for a bit, how screwed will Everton be if they're in the Championship lumbered with cost of that as well as players on inflated wages who they paid inflated fees for?
