Will remain to be seen.

I personally think there is a very good chance they will look night and day with last year.

I don't think they'll finish in the bottom quarter like. But this is the manager who started Casemiro and Eriksen against a high intensity midfield 3.

Having watched a good number of games this weekend I like the way we are stacking up.

Just get the strikers in and hopefully another midfield option and we are golden.

Definitely. If we can finish the window well I think we'll still be in the mixer for a CL spot. Going to be a hell of a season.

Re: Sesko, very easy to look skilful as fuck in a much weaker league. Let’s see how he looks here where he has such little time on the ball. I said it all summer long, he’s someone I’m glad we missed out on. He will have good games and have amazing moments but overall, I think he’ll not be worth the money they spent at all

Why wouldn't you hoy Maguire up top to try and salvage a point? He causes bother

Fine. If our latest attempts to sign a forward get sabotaged, we will sign Maguire as our striker.

Man Utd played well but they played like it was a cup game, which you can understand with the historic rivalry with Arsenal.

I don’t see them playing with that intensity every week.

They still remember The Battle of The Buffet...

People on here bending over backwards to try and find reasons why we won't be good. It's OK to say we will be massively improved.

Very harsh result of course. Not sure I've ever seen Arsenal as poor. They were completely dominated.

Having to chose between Onana and Bayindir is like choosing between a punch in the face or a kick in the dick.

On that showing, I doubt Gyokeres could get into a Tony Pulis Stoke team.

Man U's brightest player was Amad, but not much he can do sitting on the bench most of the game.

Mbeumo was quality and Cunha had moments. They’re both massive signings for them and the absolute best buys they could go for. The error is that they’ve spent so much and probably can’t get the defence, CM and midfield to where they need it so they’re going to be massively hit and miss again this season

Genuinely think we'd be with a shout at winning the league if not for...

We would be to be honest. I don’t think we would win it, but I can see it being a lot more competitive this season, and we could have been getting late into the season waiting to punch if they slipped up.

Us without PSR would be title challengers, so too would Aston Villa.

Annoyingly they looked decent despite the defeat. Mbeumo and Cunha had decent games. No idea why Mount started though and on the left wing?!

Don't think Mount did much wrong.

Sesko hasn't had a preseason, so he'll need to be eased in.

have to agree. I thought you looked really good. Cunha and Mbuemo will cause teams loads of problems.

you deserved to win that, imo.

Gyokeres and Sesko are both good players, imo, but they have been put in situations of extreme pressure. They might fail simply due to circumstance. Sesko hasn't been anything more than "promising" in Bundesliga and now he has to lead the line for the most scrutinised team in England. I also did not understand the clamour for Viktor from "top" teams. He would be a great signing for an upper mid-table side, but I am not confident at all he will succeed at Arsenal with the role and expectation he will have.

Got back from the game quick :shifty:

Well known that it’s only a 2 minute commute from Manchester to Dublin.

More people commute into Manchester from Dublin than they do from Altrincham.
