Chelsea will win that at a canter and really Spurs should be winning the Europa but it's Spurs so anything can happen. But there side of the draw looks better. 

 

Shame to think that should have been us in the conference this year.

Europa is actually fascinating, lots of decent teams in it. Chelsea in that Conference League is an entirely different prospect.

Yeah Europa looks like it's anyone's. Shameful for Europe if it goes to either of those two appalling Premier League sides. Surely the likes of Bilbao, Lazio, Frankfurt have enough about them to make sure neither of those two sets of wankers get their hands on it? Are Olympiacos good enough to go the distance again? It's a shame Galatasaray totally shit the bed in that tie with AZ, they'd have beaten Spurs imo.

Not to the majority of teams partaking it isnt. The lesser sides of Europe should also have an opportunity to play in a European tournament.

 

There should be a cut off though, probably by co-efficient.

its actually the complete opposite. Its a quality tournament and one of the few things that UEFA have done in recent years that has had the biggest benefit to the game as a whole. I can't remember the exact amount, but since its inception, around 10 nations have had teams reach the league phase of the European competition for the first time. It gives teams and fans of them smaller nations a chance of actually having a European adventure, it allows teams like Olympiakos a chances of winning a European competition, teams like KI Klaksvik from the Faroe Islands, Shamrock Rovers and Jagiellonia Białystok of Poland a chance of actually doing something and maybe make the Knockout Round, and then getting the revenue into their respective leagues, that will eventually be to their benefit. Hell, it even gives teams like West Ham, Real Betis and Fiorentina a realistic chance of glory. Whereas previously them teams would get knocked out in what, the second qualifying round? And be of no benefit to anyone.

 

Football isn't just for the big clubs and big leagues, and just because this competition does't benefit them, it doesn't meant the Conference League hasn't been a great addition to the footballing calendar. Same with the Nations League as well.

Again, why? All that would do is stop the teams the Conference League is designed for from getting the revenue that European tournaments provide. If anything it should be the opposite with the Champions League being a straight knockout, as they don't need the money, whereas the majority of the Conference League clubs do.

He doesn't care about it so neither should anyone. :dontknow: I don't think I've watched a match outside of the final but it's a great idea. The money these minnows get for it is lifechanging.
