I think they saw our decline as their bat-signal to be the next "could finish 5th maybe hopeful 4th with some luck" side in the league (before City's sale in 2011, at least). So it was just non-stop preying on the downfall of a club they had no reason to hate (unless there's some secret toon-spurs lore someone can hit me with). Fuck 'em twice.
