Flick apparently doesn't like Rashford.  He wants wide players

We should try and sell him Wissa then.

Speaking of Rashford and Wissa. If they had a child there’s a very good chance that kid would get a well balanced back head aesthetically.

Also if things go tits up for Gordon, some EPL team will give Barca their money back in a couple of seasons, pretty risk free transfer.

Except for the fact they’d have been stuck with tits up Gordon for a couple of seasons

Could easily see him at Spurs or Chelsea for around £60m in 2 years time.

Read somewhere his name was song by away end at the end at Fulham? Was there a bit of a goodbye? (Think you were there @LFEE?)

Yes, that’s true.

Wasn’t vociferously sung like Trippier’s, but it was sung, and he acknowledged with a fairly lengthy wave as the players left the field.

Imagine if this transfer sends Rashford and his £350k a week salary back to Man Utd, talk about a win win.

His loan is over now so he'll be back at Man Utd.

And because they qualified for Champions League his wages will be back up to 100%

Imagine the feeling getting on that plane there man!

Bet he didn't sleep last night - I don't blame him. Guy's gone right to the top despite each fanbase that he's played for not really being arsed about him. Nice guys really do finish last.

As @SteV answered. Sung but in a polite sort of way and quite briefly in which he responded with a smile and a wave. So whereas Trippier got his flowers I’d say AG got a single stem.

Nowt against in personally but this deal is best for all parties involved. I think his time with us was very inconsistent, on his day he looked unplayable but in the end those days were far too infrequent.

He should smash it in La Liga though, Spanish defenses are tragic.

Of course he's got white pants and loafers on  his self-esteem is going to hit incredible new heights.

I wonder if some of the squad are happy to see him go?

I don't think he was the most popular from what I've heard.

From who?

Bruno Guimarães

Bruno gave the strongest proper interview praise:

“He has been amazing. He is so quick. When we get the ball to him we know he’s going to do something special.”

“Nobody in the club deserves it more than him.”

“He has been unbelievable for us, scoring, gives assists.”

“He is a lovely guy as well, so I’m very happy for him.”

Another report has the same quote as:

“No one at the club deserves to be in the England squad more than him. He has been unbelievable for us. Always scoring, giving assists. He’s such a lovely guy too.”

Kieran Trippier And Gordon said of Trippier:

> “He’s one of my closest teammates, he always has been since I joined the club.”

A separate report summarised the same incident as both players downplaying it and reaffirming their close relationship.

Joe Willock

On Gordon’s Instagram after the Benfica Champions League win, Willock commented:

> “World class brother.”

Nick Woltemade

Same post, Woltemade commented:

> “Great game twin.”

Bruno again, on Instagram

After Gordon’s Benfica performance, Bruno commented:

> “MVP.”

Jacob Murphy / Jacob Ramsey

Reported as posting emojis in support of Gordon after the Benfica game. Not as strong as a quote, but still teammate support.

Nick Pope, indirectly

Pope was talking more about Tino Livramento’s England call-up, but NUFC’s official site noted Pope was joining an England squad that also included club teammates Anthony Gordon and Tino Livramento. Not really praise of Gordon specifically, but it shows Gordon had become part of that Newcastle/England group by then.

Very good, no regrets seeing him go, he had some great moments in a toon shirt and we’ve got the right money from a team outside the prem for him.

Now we have to replace his output.
