Some didn’t want him but I assume those same people are chuffed we signed him now and are happy to eat humble pie. Can ya not just leave it at that ya cheeky scamp ya? I was reading the last few pages and was going to say the same thing, although not directed at Kaka specifically. It’s a tedious read.

McDog
For the record, I was fine with the purchase. I've only seen one Premier League team ever live and that was two summers ago and Everton. I wore the Black and White to the match of course, but it seemed to me Gordon was the possibly the best player on the pitch that day. So I thought he'd look great on the RW if we brought him in. Still, James did play himself into that position. As soon as he laid hands on him, he was gone.

I was also a bit positive simply because the few games that I watched Everton 2 years back, he was usually their best player at the age of 21. I heard a lot about his bad run of form before we signed him, which made me a bit sceptical aswell, possibly partly due to the Chris Wood signing and how his goalscoring form continued to be pretty dry with us. But the entire Everton team was just not working at all when Gordon wasn't performing. Also, I never expected his mindset and willingness to improve to be this good. Quite the opposite, I thought his attitude seemed pretty bad. Edited November 26, 2023 by Erikse
andycap
He seems a canny lad that's needed to be trained right and looked after. When we were first linked I said he had all the tools to work with to be a future star. Howe is starting to coax that out of him now. Plus I've noticed his little temper flare ups have dwindled with him been in with a great group. Edited November 26, 2023 by andycap
Jonas
He's just about the main-man for me. On his worst day he'll keep plugging away, wont hide and will make things happen and create a team momentum. Rather than those that didn't give him a chance its those Everton fans I was thinking of, saying they'd robbed us of £40million. Its been another absolute steal by our recruitment folks. When he was signed it was far more tedious all the carrying on, and they would not relent, when some of us told them to give it time as he had the talent Howe usually got the best of. Now it's looking incredibly cringe worthy, as he's already one of our best players. You've got to laugh really.
ExiledGeordie
Wow it’s almost as if Howe and the team had the foresight that Gordon could turn into the player he is now with the right training and coaching ? The scary thing is he’s only going to get better. Fantastic addition.
CPL
That's another sending off he has caused due to his pace and pressing if you count the one that should have been against Liverpool. 5 goals 3 assists 2 penalties won 2 reds * 6 yellows. He is raking up the stats in all the categories. Seriously though, if he keeps this up, even Southgate can't ignore him, as he is a brilliant option off the bench defending or chasing a game. 80
Still well on course to be player of the season. Him or Schar.
Bally21
When he went down in a heap in the 1st half I was bricking it. Thankfully he was ok and put in a hell of a performance. Could well end up being a legend at the club if he is here for 5 years or more and performs like he did yesterday.
Cronky
He reminds me a bit of Chris Waddle. (And for the real oldies, Forest's John Robertson). In certain situations, defenders know what he's going to do, but there's nothing they can do about it. Gordon is more athletic, and less technical, but the end product is the same. Yeah the way both The Waddler and john Robertson sort of just drifted by defenders - Gordon has that but he has pace aswell. When Gordon gets the ball I expect something to happen - like I expected waddle to do something when he got the ball back in the day.
gbandit
That cross yesterday was fantastic, if he can add quality crossing to his game consistently then he’s pretty much a complete player. He doesn’t need elite dribbling on the wing as he beats his man so easily for pace

Disco
Speed he got his shot away for the goal was extremely impressive. Moved it so quick and smoothly it was in before the keeper, admittedly poor, had barely started diving.
AyeDubbleYoo
And he snapped it between the two defenders instead of trying to go around them both, very clever.
Yorkie
The movement was absolutely top notch as well. Brilliant contribution for our opener too, making something out of that nothing cross.
