It sounds like they’re saying the muscle got damaged when he did the dead leg, and if he comes back before it’s fully healed, it’ll tear or summit. Gaztoon
Deep tissue injury was far and away the most painful injury I ever had playing rugby.. and i dislocated my shoulder.
Pilko
Just me or does every injury we ever get seem to take longer than we first think? Eddie must be sick of passing on info from the medical team of "a few weeks" to the press only to be left repeating that same timeline again a few weeks later. timeEd32
In my head a dead leg is a briefly painful, but for some reason often kind of funny injury. But having read this - https://mymskclinic.co.uk/what-is-a-dead-leg/ - I think I've only known a grade 1 dead leg. Didn't know it could be so severe or have complications. It's weird, it's been like this for as long as I can remember, meanwhile any time Arsenal or Man U get a key injury they are back after a couple of weeks. We just don't seem to do the 2 weeks injuries

toontownman
Likely rules him out for the England squad then, unless he gets back and instantly stars. Gutted. Truly think he would have got the call without the injury. Everyone including the usual newcastle hating pundits were raving about him.

Sure we're suffering our usual casualty list but teams with far less demanding schedules than ours seem to be suffering the same.

And forget about the vast majority that come back in the timeframe initially expected.

BonesJones
This isn't a told you so or anything like that, but the people that couldn't see his ability and potential when he first came into the team, I couldn't understand for shit. Be awesome if he's here long enough to become the captain.

And when he didn’t, they wondered if he’d benefit from some first team minutes somewhere . Include myself in that. But multiple posters saying he had nothing……must have missed that (and quite possibly did).
The Prophet
I'll be honest, I didn't see it first. It's probably why I'd be a shit scout.

He's clearly very good at the basics but in terms of the type of player he is I don't think I could describe him to anyone who hasn't seen him play. The issues with others calling him out or whatever was just that people wanted to see him play, whether that was here or elsewhere on loan as he isn't going to develop sitting watching Joe Willock. Interested to see how his career pans out, think he's going to be another top PL player from our shite academy.

He is a central midfielder just assumed they put him at right back as his older brother had and they thought we will stick him in that position.
