I think Ten Hag does.

You reckon Ten Haag will be in charge going into next season?

Not a loaded question or attempted jab or anything, genuinely curious.

Not a bad shout actually

Though I would give Nolan a bit more credit in that he never used to hide in games the way McTominay does when he's playing in midfield

Nolan was absolutely invisible in midfield during our relegation season and often in that first season back. Swapping him for Cabaye was golden.

Hopefully he stays for a while yet.

He can upset one player every few weeks until he has to play a team of stiffs. Probably end up putting in better performances.

Aye 100%. Why wouldn't he be? Also not a loaded question.

The only thing that was annoying the fans was the starting eleven when he was making decisions like Rashford on the right. Still don't understand the logic behind it now. The Varane situation is annoying too but we don't know what has happened. If Varane has challenged Ten Hag's authority then we'll back the manager there as well.

We've backed him with Ronaldo and Sancho. Martial and Rashford could be next and we'll also back him again. You'll notice all of those players (with the exception of Varane) are/were on huge wages but don't run or press for the team.

You don't give up on a manager because of a few poor months after he's given you a third place finish and a trophy.

I think he could speak better in the press as a small criticism. Coming out with things like "we scored a goal but it was offside so we could have had a draw" is pretty embarassing, but it could just be a language barrier. He does after all, barely speak English.

Nolan was really only a second striker and a very useful one. As a midfielder he was dire and is probably only not mentioned among some of our worst because we also had Smith, Geremi, Faye and Butt around that time.

Nolan scored most of them playing as a second striker.

He was basically a shite midfielder, though.

McTom is scoring most of his goals ghosting into the box when teams are on their knees in the last 20 minutes(see Brentford)

As a midfielder, McTomminnay is a hider, doesn’t have the touch to clear the ball out of his feet and pick a pass.

you know what, the more I think about it, Nolan and McTomminay are good comparisons but Nolan got a lot more out of his body that I think Mctom has the ability to do.

Lets be serious, he's far less of a 'hider' than Nolan was. Don't even know why I'm arguing this because I'm not Mcsauce's biggest fan but he's played lots of games for a team competing at CL level.

Nolan wasn't even much of a central midfielder in the Championship, but it was worth carrying him because he scored like a striker down there.

Disrespectful to compare Nolan and McTomminnay. Nolan’s football IQ was on another level.

He spent his career at Bolton, then us (in a rotten 2 1/2 year period) then West Ham and Leyton Orient. That isn’t the career of someone with an outstanding football IQ. He was a fine goalscorer with 2 strikers in front of him to free up a few yards of space but he was a bloody awful midfielder.
