I think Arne Slot not going in for Minteh speaks volumes, He had an impresive season at Feyenoord under Slot,

But he cant rate him as a top prem player. Otherwise he would have gone in for him.

No doubt he is a very good player. but at top level, there must be doubts.

this is just silly. Eddie spoke much more glowingly of minteh yesterday than he needed to, and more than he usually does regarding opposition. He said he'd be an integral piece for us were he still around, which pretty much throttled the theory of many on here that he wouldn't have even been featuring in matches for us.

Eddie also dispelled the myth that he was brought in to be sold. They clearly loved his talent and thought he could join the side, but alas, FFP exists.

Yeah but it doesn’t fit some people’s agenda to defend absolutely anything that happens   (In general terms)

Reminds me of some parents refusing to see or accept that their golden kid has done anything wrong ever.

There’s also a fair chance that Howe is using Mintehs name politically, don’t read into it to much either way.

Hes gone so let’s at least try and move on

To my pleasant surprise, haven't heard about him in a while. But now wondering how he's doing?

I thought he’s looked decent enough but without lacking a cutting edge (admittedly not made a point of following him closely recently). Decision-making wasn’t great in the Arsenal game but he’s still young. Looks like he might go on to become a decent player but it doesn’t really bother me that we sold him or rather we had no option under the current ludicrous rules.

Time to let this one go...we thought he'd be a world beater and let him go for what was seen as cheap. He's shown to be a decent player but not exactly setting the galaxy on fire.

24million profit for a kid that never even played for us.

Exactly what we should be doing if we insist on playing by these psr rules

Let's be honest, Howe wouldn't have played him until next year

[emoji38] this is very true.

Only just seen his goal and assist at OT. Both well taken but it's only Man U.

Hope he can nail a starting spot and stay injury-free. Brighton have a lot of options at RW - March, Aindgra,Enciso, Gruda, Rutter.

Brighton are hoarding these talented boys in certain positions. Same issue at 10. It's not squad building, it's just revenue generation. At 10 they have JP, Rutter, Enciso, Buonnotte(sp?), O'Riley - probably more I'm forgetting. I don't think it's going to work for most of the boys as they won't get enough game time or play in the wrong position.  Buonnotte lad looks a good player but his Leicester loan is turning to shit.

Positively, we should be able to unsettle some of these talented lads pretty easily and get them for a decent fee. Outside of JP none of those lads get consistent minutes.

I doubt we'd get them for a decent fee once they've gone to Brighton. The time to get them would be before they got their hands on them like happened with Minteh.
