NUFC Transfer Rumours

Elanga suits Forest perfectly but against teams that would come to our ground and sit in, I don't think he has the technique and creative to unlock a defense. He's just incredibly useful on the counter attack.

Really don't think he's anything other than a speed merchant

Madueke. Not a rumour, just a guess.

Chelsea are always willing sellers. He's 23. England international. Won't cost a fortune. Eddie will turn him into some player.

I also don't think he'd cost a fortune in comparison to others.

Does he ever play through the middle? I don't think so. Could be wrong.

That's the thing about Mbeumo; he offers cover for Isak.

Some takes on here last few weeks have been absolutely crackers. Madueke ahead of Mbeumo, someone saying they wouldn't take Rashford for £3m. Vardy as back up. Bloody Nora.

This 100 %. Seems like a player who doesn't create much from static situations or play with his head up a lot.

Rashford on a three year contract for a low fee could still be a £40m+ commitment. We would likely make him our highest earner, and the deal could potentially drive up wages for other squad members.

It's still a significant risk, particularly for a guy that has questionable workrate and doesn't necessarily suit Eddie's style.

Of course, if he could rekindle his 22/23 form it would be a no brainer, but that is questionable.

I think he's the perfect fit for us but I think you're being optimistic when you say he wouldn't cost a fortune. He also seems very 'London'. Not sure he'd fancy a move up north

I wouldn't want Rashford anywhere near us , aside from being hugely overrated he's lazy as fuck and a few decent games for Villa hasn't changed that.

I do think Rashford can still be an excellent player in the right setup, as shown at Villa.

But that setup is absolutely not Eddie Howe’s Newcastle.

If we ignore the money aspect of it for a moment I genuinely think Howe could get Rashford playing to his best but the best of Rashford is on the left and we are more than fine in that position

I don't think Rashford is ever getting back to his best. At Villa he was still doing similar stuff to what he was doing at Man Utd - difference being Villa are a much better side. His overall performance there was alright, nowt special when you look beyond the headlines. He had one or two excellent performances out of 14 appearances. At his best he seemed to be putting in those types of performances more regularly.

Rashford's lost that fire in his belly. It's all about the lifestyle for him now, imo. Once he leaves Man Utd he'll basically retire from the top level of football.

Be amazed if he doesn't end up in the US.

Eddie Howe:

"The PSR deadline plays a huge role for clubs, both those clubs with PSR issues and those without, because those without may potentially look to try to sign players.

"They will look to take advantage of other clubs, as clubs did to us last year, quite rightly.

"It's a really interesting dynamic and one that we're really aware of and that we'll try to use to our advantage if we can.

"I can't go into the details of that, but no doubt we've got people at the club who are working very hard behind the scenes on it."

Rashford is a good signing for clubs if his wages were like £100k-£140k mark. But then he wouldn’t be leaving Man Utd if he was on that, because Man Utd would keep him because he can offer something.

At his current wages, doesn’t make him look appealing to any club.

Based on what?

Based on what?

Based on his performances for Man U, his boyhood club, for years. He’s not remotely interested in being the best footballer he can be and he’s just been playing as he has to put himself in the shop window. His performances will plummet as soon as he gets a contract and settles in somewhere new

Who might have PSR issues we might be taking advantage of?
