Ha, I was just adding to Optimistic's comment where he mentioned VVD. Obviously someone like him would be a remarkable signing but every club in the world will be looking for the same player and I've no idea how to spot them. We can dream though eh. 😊

Main positive with Guehi, he could join 10th of August and be in a position to start first game if we had an injury in defence. No easing in needed with him. With Scalvini, he will be eased in across the season but will require Schar to start 75%+ of games up to end of this year which won’t be ideal.

 

Likely higher ceiling, but there’s value in having someone who can slot in straight away. Door is firmly open for back to back UCL qualification which is the long term game changer.
