Magpie Mover
Well if PIF weren't already aware of our place in the food chain they have to be now, we are not allowed to eat at the top table and the players who do get to eat there don't want to come and play for us. We really need to seriously increase our revenue by any means possible by hook or by crook so we can start competing with the big dogs otherwise we remain what we are at the moment an increasingly annoying yapping but still small Jack Russell. Football is so fucked.
toontownman
Its alright folks I just caved and watched a Yoane Wissa highlights video. Transfer won't happen now. You're welcome.

Chicken Dancer
Can't believe what I'm reading here mind Our backups last season were an aging, injured Callum Wilson & a very raw Osula. Turning our noses up at a player who's just scored 19 goals for a midtable side to fill that role is crazy. £50m is also crazy like, but Wissa would be a very useful addition at the right price. It's the type of signing we should be making to make the drop off less noticeable, if it can be done at the right price.
Bimpy474
Take solace from the fact you know they're scared of what we can become. And, like King Canute, they won't be able stop the tide coming in. We'll be like a fucking Tsunami washing over everything. The downside, we can't do it overnight because of the cheating rules, and that's what they are cheating, despicable anti competitive shitness. Change is coming, and the poisonous cheating shitbag clubs can moan all they like. Fuck em, we're on the up and up. SUPERTOON
Don't think anyone is questioning his quality tbf. Just not sure on his profile and price, especially when we have to be so careful due to PSR. If money wasn't an issue, i am sure everyone would love the signing. relámpago blanco
Wissas contract expires next summer but they have an option to extend by 12 months. I reckon well get him for close to 30-35 and at that price is a great deal.
Hanshithispantz
Wissa is quality, but both him and Isak are easily at their best as a 9. Someone like Ekitike looks made to slot in alongside someone and I was getting a bit hard thinking about the damage we'd do with 2 up top.
wyn davies
So who else can we grab that could do the same party trick as Ekitike.

Unbelievable
I’m ambivalent to Wissa; for the money I’d prefer for us to try and find the next Ekitike from his Reims or PSG exit days, but we know Howe puts a massive premium on proven PL experience and he deserves to put his mark on our transfer business with his track record. In any case it shouldn’t be too difficult to improve on 2024-25 Wilson levels. If push comes to shove I wouldn’t even mind depending on Osula a bit more next season if it meant we could go hard on a RCB, a Longstaff replacement (with more upward potential) and a GK (presumably Trafford if we can make a deal). Ed Vinegar
Wissa would be a good option. Loads on here were moaning last year about the prospect of signing Mbeumo, but either of Brentford's strikers would be a massive improvement over our current back up. Maybe there's some absolute star 17 year old out there who would consider signing for us but it seems unlikely and better for us to focus on good players who might actually join us imo.
