I find all of the transfer manoeuvring really interesting though, and I feel confident we'll get in what we need at the end. It's far better than the silence during the Mike Ashley years throughout the window, with the confirmation on the morning of deadline day that we were closed for business! Was the absolute worst. Also would imagine this means we push hard for a bigger CB target or outlay on another CM. On the downside, he is at his peak and more than Ekitike smells more like we are being used on this one to bait Manure into paying more for Mbeumo. Everyone including BBC is running on us being into him though. AFCON is the worst too. If we get him for £35m on a 4 year contract we can sell him for £8.75m after his third year to break even on PSR. Anything over that is profit. At this point it seems like the only responsible thing to do, the moment our true intentions are known one of the big 6 swoops in.
