Feel the same with Joao Palhinha. Fair enough he’s got a more impressive back catalogue from Fulham, but unless there’s a reason I don’t know about (wants to be back in London or whatever), Bayern peddling him after a season is a red flag.

That should be a fairly easy deal to do, surely. Competition from Leeds, release clause and presumably wouldn't cost the earth. I'd even be confident in Andy sealing that one

Thats the perfect sort of replacement for Longstaff like. Someone who's young and can be improved, has shown he has the required skillset to do a semi-decent job now, but at the same time is someone who wouldn't mind being a bit part player for a few years.
