NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

Tbf can see it all going a bit quiet now until the last week of the window. Once Wissa is through the door that’s 4 in no major departures (for now). Yes we are light in midfield and if Isak continues to sulk like a tart we’re light up top as well but let’s face it - we’ve gone into seasons a lot worse off. I trust in Eddie to do the business with the squad available.

I don’t think we have the resources to go after Gallagher or Paqueta (maybe next summer when he has 1 year left).

Outside of that, Taylor from Ajax sounds interesting and realistic.

Would only happen if Isak was sold. There must be someone out there you can get on loan for a season for a year? Think we could make the most of that market since our PSR position is strong like Villa did last year.

This is why I think Howe might be on a different page to the owners. He might prefer to sell Isak and use the funds to bring in quality elsewhere and pair up a younger striker like Jackson with Wissa if it was up to him.

But there again that's not happening if Liverpool won't pay a fair price for isak.

Is it not likely that Willock is seen as one of the six that he wants to have for the season?

We’re presently down to four with his injury but I don’t think we will be able to just write him off as a squad option for the whole year.

I would expect it will be one midfielder brought in.

I've no doubt we must be looking for a midfielder after selling Longstaff, just don't recall us being seriously linked with any.

Tbf I don't remember many serious CB links either until it just happened.

We've been tracking Thiaw for a year though, and there has been plenty of talk all through this window that we might be interested again. I don't recall us being linked with any midfielders this summer.

We don't have the room in the squad (for CL at least) for two CMs and that's excluding Lascelles, Targett and Krafth as it is.

We all know who will be in the mix with a year left😂

We aren’t allowed a clear run at a player like that. . . .

Struggling to figure out why folk are asking about a new midfielder when we have Miley who’s a cracking player already and can only improve.

Jesus Christ. Surely this is a wind up post and I missed the joke?

We just played two friendlies and in both 11's had to have Ashby and Targett playing out of position in midfield to make up the 3. If that doesn't tell you we need more depth in midfield I don't know what does.

If he turns down the opportunity to play with Bruno then he should be disowned.
