NUFC Transfer Rumours

Recommended Posts

There was a report a few weeks back saying Akliouche was liked by us but we had doubts about how he'd physically stand up to English football, meaning we were focusing elsewhere.

That should be a fairly easy deal to do, surely. Competition from Leeds, release clause and presumably wouldn't cost the earth. I'd even be confident in Andy sealing that one

We should probably have targeted more of these sort of deals to begin with. I can understand going for the top tier players, but if you know the cartel clubs are also in there, it's not worth wasting too much time trying to flog a dead horse.

But you don't know they're there until they are.

Now that's a link!

Called this one months ago. Think @Unbelievable agreed would be a very smart signing as likely a relegation clause, obtainable and versatile along with right profile and wage level. Definitely caught my eye the small few times I saw him play.

What type of player is he, what are his attributes, would be a Joelinton rotation option etc?

Never paid any attention to him, but loads of twitter people seem to rate him

more ofa skilfl, technical player, can dribble and pass, but nowhere as physical as Joelinton

I think we'd have a fair idea tbh. Like I said, no harm in trying as long as we don't lose other players while hoping the top targets might come off.

Silky midfielder. Good touch, eye for a pass. Gets fouled a lot.

Technical attacking midfielder with good dribbling ability. Can play wide but I think he'd be more likely to be a more attacking #8 for us or in a #10 if we adapt the system slightly. Definitely gives us a bit more options in midfield without breaking the bank too much.

Great age profile. If we can't get the top drawer talent we're aiming for im personally buzzing for us to just move for players like that instead.

Is that a dig?

And we tried. At the end of the season if someone said our targets are Mbuemo, Delap, Sesko, Ekitike, and Pedro my guess is most on this forum would have said we'd get one, possibly even Mbuemo and one of the forwards.
