We are in a bit of a pickle imo, the other options banded around might be out of our budget tbh.

That's why I went with Malick Fofana.

The Lyon fire sale is ongoing this summer.

My prediction is that we'll sheepishly stump up for the Abde release clause after a failed pursuit of Fernandez-Pardo.

I wanted him in the first place, but I think other clubs were mentioned as his preferred destination. Might have been Spurs or Man U.

Better off signing someone very raw with a good ceiling maybe, Elangas right footed, might be more useful on the left with more options because he doesn’t have the technique when marked to the flank. The top players that have been signed for 10-20 million the last 3 years by smaller clubs than us. We’d be set if we signed 5 of em. Why we aren’t poaching scouts from Brighton, B’Ford, Red Bull is beyond me.

Might just need to trim the budget for another position.

Nothing article - basically 'Nothing is understood to be imminent'.

Awesome.

I’d just take some time out if I was you.  It’s important to get a break from football in the summer so that every development, even minor nothing press pieces, doesn’t have an impact on how you feel. You’ll feel better for it if you just take some time away from the articles. We’re all addicts to the club in different forms and we all find it difficult to tune out but I think many of us would be better served by taking some breaks. We can’t do it during the season so give yourselves a break now

That Choudhury bloke available?

We'll put in a deadline day loan offer for him I'm sure..........only for the deal to be hijacked by Ipswich in the final hours of the window.

Couldn’t agree more. Micro analysing every article will send you under.

Most of them are nonsense anyway.

I was so looking forward to this Summer after the disappointment of last - I love reading about potential incomings as it makes me look forward to the season ahead.   It's hard to switch off.

Twitter is the worst - that Romano has even pinned the article where he broke the news about Munez.  It's not like Liverpool fans even care.

I don’t even think Brighton have done Brighton very well over the last couple of seasons.

They seem to be behind Bournemouth and Brentford now in how they sign players

Depends on what is meant by "working on a deal". We were not actively negotiating with Osasuna until the Gordon deal was pretty much done

So you know for a fact that we hadn't talked to Osasuna whatsoever before the Gordon deal happened?

The way they play is shit and predictable aswell, can't believe they haven't been sussed out to a greater extent yet. Mitoma and Welbeck aren't that good!

This is obviously the smart thing to do, especially if its affecting you. However, as you say, we're all addicts and we all want the club to do well, especially after last summer, so its hard not to get too caught up in desperately looking for something, anything good to hold on to for next season.

Because right now, and especially after the way last summer transpired and the proceeding season, it all feels a bit bleak, stalled and agonising.

If you're getting frustrated on the 19th June then boy have you got a fun summer ahead

I'd recommend just enjoying the World Cup if you can.

This time last year we thought everything was hunky dory after qualifying for the Champions League with our best striker since Shearer. Things can change pretty quickly but it's a long summer

I think people are rightly anxious about the transfer window but I find the gallows humour nauseating.

We are a million miles away from the Ashley era. We've got a club actively trying to spend money to sign players (even if it does seem they suck at it.)

Just as a reference point, our failed move for Munoz would have been our second biggest ever transfer under Mike Ashley. It really isnt that bad.

I think the Munoz collapse fed up a lot of people. Not the player itself but dejavu.

I was hoping we would have moved well past the point of just being grateful Ashley is gone come what may, the club still needs to perform in a way that resembles it's own supposed ambition.
