If he’s over his injury, 30 million is an excellent price. Comes in and learns from Trippier and could easily be our RB for the next 10 years.

Generally with the quality of ACL surgery and intensive rehab people can usually get back to or close to their former levels. I can get someone back running at a basic level in 10-12 weeks then you can introduce change of direction and plyometrics. Obviously this is just with recreational athletes and Joe Public. Footballers have intensive daily rehab plans and analysis.

Wilson has had two ACLs, one on each leg. Everyone is different obviously but I’m not that worried about his injury and I’m guessing they’ve done their analysis.

Soton fans seem to think it’s a good fee. He could be anything after almost a year out injured. Bit of a leap of faith. Did notice he’s around 6ft tall, we like ‘em with a presence.

He’s 5’8” according to transfermarkt (173cm).

Wondering because of his size we think he can perhaps be moulded as a CB too.

I'm not suggesting we are signing him for that purpose but it could be in our long term thoughts.

Well this can't be true because FFP.

Everyone knows we haven't got a pot to p*** in ?

5yr contract so that's 6mill of Saint Maxs 30(?)Mill. Barnes about 7mill of it. Still 18mill to go...... centre half and left back ?

Yes I know its not that easy.

£30m, Christ on a bike. Can honestly say I've never noticed him.

One of the players I can remember seeing and immediately wanting to buy. Assumed he’d end up somewhere like Liverpool.

When he went to Southampton on loan from Chelsea he was absolutely sensational

Gutted when he signed for them

I also had him in my dream team !

Horrible injury but apparently he’s back fully fit and played in the last game v Brighton and looked sharp

fantastic player - Huge talent

Given Lewis cost £15m about 5 year ago I guess £30m is fair enough

The font of truth wiki says 6ft on the button.

I stand corrected- the PL has him as 6ft too.

I wouldn’t say an ACL if that’s what he had is a horrible injury, yes it’s very unfortunate and you aren’t guaranteed 100% recovery but they’re commonplace thesedays and well treatable. A complex fracture can be much more problematic imo.

Yes I know its not that easy.

Would be so much better if clubs weren't allowed to spread payments and had to do everything up front. Would make FFP so much simpler and harder to dodge just by having a decent accountant/lawyer

Guess that would violate about a million trade laws though

Is he right back then?

Yeah, we need one desperately for back up for trippier, manqullio, krafth and Ashby.

Unless we anticipate losing two of them and Ashby going out on loan?

Or can this lad play LB and RB? That would mean no natural left peg on that side?
