They’re not playing shit, but they’re definitely not at their best. Nothing wrong with saying that, but they’re definitely “up for it”. Not one player doesn’t look up for it.

Totally different mate I am happy but we have work to do to reach the champions league and some are not playing well.

Just think it's been a long and quite emotional season, we're probably not at our physical best but doing enough to win games and I can't find any reason to complain. There's a logical explanation for performance dips but no doubt in my mind they're a together squad. If we finish top 5, it's been the best season in my lifetime.

I hope Gordon has a good look at what he is competing against.

It's win win really. Barnes on fire and will keep his spot. Gordon has to be special as a sub to get a look in.

It's a lush problem to have, we just need it on the right hand side too.

Indeed! Barnes allways had it in him. We allways talk about run of games, but there is so much to it. We see it so often where a player is in for a run of games and hits a much higher form than what we've seen from said player.

I think we’ll all become very grateful of him if/when he gets a consistent run of starts due to injury

He was an opportunistic signing but I feel like there is more to come from him, however today isn’t his kind of game

He is an insane finish player, and I still think he would be best in a more transitional side however it’s great to see his overall game growing now.

I don’t think he will ever possess Gordon’s overall output in terms of work rate and defensive work in general, but at the same time Gordon won’t ever be able to finish as well as this guy can.

Proving he was worth all of that £40m now.

It's great to have them both with those differences. Some games we may need Gordon's energy and press, others we may need that goal threat.

Very happy we have them both.
