Aiston
Longstaff/ Anderson would be better against City, we don't really need Joelinton's physicality.

Ste
I don’t think we’ve been timid, I think City are putting on a clinic. We can’t get near them and they’re defending so well when we have possession.
Miggys First Goal
Let’s look on the bright side, a few years ago and we’d already be three or four down.

looneytoon
Joelinton hungover after being selected for Brazil team yesterday? Certainly playing like it
54
From the little of what I've seen, Man City are really up for this, they are so switched on, and taking this as seriously as they can. Almost like they're playing Liverpool a few years back, or a Champions League quarter, they're not going through to motions like they would it it was Burnley or Brentford turning up. They've given us the utmost respect, treating us as a genuine threat and as such are making sure they dominate this, forcing us into mistakes, every pass is pinpoint and they're suffocating us. Holloway
Bruno's complaint of feeling like a boy given the runaround against these kind of holding up, except for mebbies 10 minutes
Smal
Just now, joeyt said: Think it's obviously frustrating that when Gordon drags Walker into the middle pitch then the space is available down the left wing but Burn just doesn't have the ability or pace to exploit it City have passed it really well from the back mind Burn can’t go forward though really. His cover is needed defensively. It’s Joelinton’s job to overlap Gordon today I think, he’s just looked bizarrely lethargic.
Rich
They did this to Man Utd last season, when they’re up for it and on it teams can barely lay a glove on them. We can’t play much worse though, to look inwardly a bit, quite a few looking a bit rattled by their quality.

KaKa
2 minutes ago, gbandit said: What the fuck has happened to Joelinton’s energy and attitude? We're sitting off them and closing space for the most part. Not the game to go charging about after players the whole game. Think we've been solid defensively for the majority. Need to play with more urgency when we have the ball. Letting them get back into defensive shape by slowing things down.
Stifler
Just no movement when we do have the ball, like no player just making that 1 or two steps away from their marker. Almiróns inability to cross is hindering us as well. It’s great running at players and cutting on the inside when you are playing the likes of Palace, but Man City have that fullback who won’t fall for it, and another player cutting in to defend. I get that these are very good, but when we have had the ball it’s been sloppy. Taking too long to make a decision, too many backwards passes putting us under pressure in and around our own box. No one turning to make a forward pass.
Sandrotastico
2 minutes ago, Shays Given Tim Flowers said: Not sure what people are expecting almiron to do here Bruno good. Botman great. Nobody else is really offering much. Actually, think Almiron is the only fucker making any runs off the ball. The midfield three are so static and no one is breaking behind. Big Joe notably. Not sure if this is Howe's ask but it's been quite flat and very slow.

Geordie Boyo
It is difficult to press them when they pass the ball so well as I initially thought the same. we just have to be more clever on the ball, when we’ve fucking got it, and have other players getting into space, besides Miggy. mighty__mag
Left side is exposed. Gordon has a habit of drifting inwards, then when possession is lost the gap between himself and Burn is enormous. Walker having so much freedom on that side. Our midfield is not really in the game in an attacking sense, very low energy, if either side looked like they'd played midweek and traveled back and forth it's us. City dominated that half. Scoot
Bit of a naff first half, never created anything and some frustratingly sloppy passing at times. Miggy has offered nothing down the right and Burn has offered nothing down the left.
