Borussia Dortmund 2-0 Newcastle United (07/11/23)

Feel sorry for Hall, bullshit yellow has made him really think twice about everything imo. Meanwhile them cunts can do what they like apparently.

This feels familiar to the home game in that we weren't massively outplayed, but just couldn't get the breaks

Every break is nipped in the bud early with a little foul, they know exactly what they're doing and are used to playing under European refs. They're getting away with it too, it's infuriating but there's no deterrent from the ref so why wouldn't they?

more like they have the ref in their pocket so can do what they like

Without being defeatist I'm trying to keep perspective that we've beaten Man City, PSG, Man Utd and Arsenal in this spell and are down to bare bones tonight.

Despite this I'm still annoyed how we started the game. Way too much reverence for Dortmund. They're a good side but Newcastle are better when not playing scared.

Notes:

Hall hasn't worked. Bring Miggy on and switch it up.

Again they took their only good chance. We didn't.

Trippier just needs to pass to Wilson and its 1-0 to us.

No bookings in the CL like?

Don't even think Halls was a free kick.

Ref an absolute joke, and how the fuck that was judged a throw in. It wasn't even close to crossing the line, not even close.

We've had 2 moments where we really should have scored though. The corner where Wilson was completely free and all tripps had to do was put him in, and Joelinton failing to control the ball. You don'get any more chances at this level usually.

Still think we have been by far the best team, and this is so unfair. :/

What a stadium that is. It's not surprising there were some nerves out there, especially with a makeshift team and two youngsters filling in.

I'd bring Miggy on before 60 minutes either for Hall or Trippier, who clearly needs to rest at some point.
