I'd be happy with him as a backup to isak. My only issue is that you just know when we need him he'll be injured. As a talent, he's good enough and I think Howe would get a tune out of him.

Was listening to some Everton podcast and apparently he has the 2nd worst xG across ALL of the European professional leagues since 2018 I.e he constantly misses absolute sitters.

He's not though, that's the problem, he's an all time shite finisher for a striker.

 

Saying that yes Howe would make him more effective but why give him a starting position of dross if we don't need to? Sign better in first instance.

I was convinced we’d be in for him. Not quite sure now after the Pedro rumours but Howe has wanted him since he joined. It would be a surprise if he wasn’t interested now he’s free.

I read 'announcing Wilson' and got unreasonably angry.

DCL makes commercial sense being free but feels a bit out of the frying pan (Wilson) into the fire.

 

Same issue, potentially good striker that's never fit for long and Isak won't feel the pressure at all.
