Menace
Ashworth was the problem. Mitchell was the problem. Insert new replacement was the problem. Do you see where I'm going with this?
Whitley mag
Devils advocate here but maybe Mitchell thought fuck it, I’ve got a list of young players in Europe to sign and the manager won’t agree to any of them. Evidence so far suggests PL experience is the driver this summer and can’t imagine Mitchell would be on board with likes of Wissa at 29.

So you think no one at the club had any idea he was leaving and he didn't have a notice period of he had a one year contract? Not defending Mitchell btw it's evident he wasn't right fit but I do think we are pursuing a transfer policy which he called not fit for purpose right or wrong. And to me, the logical conclusion is he lost the battle for power and influence and was binned/walked as a result.

This is Eddie’s window and next season will tell whether that was a wise move, or not. Edited July 23, 2025 by Whitley mag

Where as I do think these targets are Eddie's preference I don't think our failures this windows are down to him. I think it's too much to ask for him to be abreast of everything. In this psr world just buying players without considering the accounting is obviously suicide.

They didn’t tell Eddie as they didn’t want it to disrupt the end of the season.

McCormick
Came in and immediately pissed off just about everyone; most notably Eddie. Was arrogant and condescending from day one and achieved nothing for all his bluster.

Oversaw no signings is an interesting one as it Appears the option was to massively overpay for Elanga or Guehi. Don't get me wrong I think he wasn't the right fit, our club is obviously a bit more complex than most due to the power dynamics but he also had some positive. Getting good money for Miggy and Almiron were both creditable imo.

Zero
Questions should be asked why hire him, why he wasn’t probably replaced and why his work leftover was not probably handled to other management / staff. And yes all pointing towards Eales, and, ultimately, the real person-in-charge from PIF. Edited July 23, 2025 by Zero
