Embarrassing that we are paying so much more than we could have paid if we just bought him at the start of the window for someone we have evidently been wanting for years. 
 

Genuinely think that’s the biggest embarrassment of a horrific transfer window so far.

There's no way Milan wouldn't have charged us more than they did Como. So this is irrelevant IMO 

 

My worry was they wouldn't sell at all given Allegri is now a fan, but clearly they are happy too

Not just unexcited by this but also already remorseful about losing the money. Remember "he cant be bad if he's coming from Milan" being said about Andreas Andersson, and that was when Milan were good, very good.

Dont think of it as £35m, think of it as Kelly + £15m. And since Kelly came free, just think of it as £15m.

 

Sure we might overpay a little (or a lot) and it's hard to understand why we left it so late. But it is what it is and in our current position he is probably well worth the price.
