I mean, just knock it past the fullback and cross it. [emoji38] With his pace he wins that battle every time.

His pace is fine, his crossing is fine. Just keep making runs. Don't fuck about on the ball.

Worth remembering that Murphy gave the ball away when he came on and almost cost us a goal.

It’s his reading of the game that is the biggest issue for me. He’s never going to be amazing against a low block style but he’s not reading when to make runs, when to come to the ball etc

Plus he's got one of these on each boot:

Aye, every touch when receiving the ball at pace sees the ball end up close to a metre from his foot. Not sure that’s going to improve unfortunately

Given the improvement weve seen from Murphy, id say we can definitely expect improvement. Hes never going to be a tricky winger but if he learns when to run and when to dribble, he will be fine.

I agree, I think that side of his game will massively improve but I don’t think his touch will

That'll come as he builds relationships with his team mates.

He was better second half than first, but seemed like others around him were trying to get the ball behind quicker for him too which helped. He’ll improve as the season goes on no doubt but hes a long way from the finished article.

He does this all the time, pulls people up on opinions then throws his toys out the pram when people do it back to him.

Literally no one here is "revelling" that our £55m winger has not hit the ground running

Um ... no.

Every summer is an almighty bitch fest about players signed before they've even played a single game.

As soon as it gets mentioned anytime during the season, when they start playing well, there's an instant meltdown. Just like your crying about Thiaw over the lightest comment where I didn't even bother quoting anyone.

Give over man. So weak.

Just to probably echo everyone else. Was he bought to play with Isak? Because he looks lost in this system.

A lot of good stuff. But the end product is almost always lacking and his touch and appreciation of what is going on is usually poor.

I think he can be very good for us. But we looked a lot better with Murphy on the right. And Barnes left, TBF.

We just need to stick with the lad. Pretty poor game today but I reckon he just needs a run of games in the starting 11 to build his confidence.

Can't be easy coming to a new club and being in and out of the side but its kind of necessary due to the amount of games we're playing this season.

Keep him in the side and stick with him and he'll come good. He shown signs in some games.

My main gripe is for someone so quick and with such a low centre of gravity, is that he's always on his heels and regularly beaten to the ball when it's fed into him. It's bizarre - you'd think someone like him would be nipping in  and stealing it rather than be left flat-footed.
