Last two cameos he's done the basics right and not made any sloppy short passes. Baby steps, but hopefully he's building towards something.

Exactly this.

first time since pre-season that he’s looked absolutely rapid tonight. Think the crowd getting behind him immediately took the weight off his shoulders.

Just finished watch the match(had to go out, family shite) watch a performance.

intensity is our identity tonight. Fantastic results and happy for Elanga looked like his best game for us so far.

Well would you Adam & Eve it.

A player actually plays better when they receive positive encouragement from their own fans.

There’s a lesson in there for some of the whoppers in our crowd.

Well done to everyone who got behind him tonight, he definitely fed off of the positivity.

I think what he did right was just run at their defenders. Fuck the sloppy passes, don't worry about it if the odd one goes astray.

Like the great man Keegan said, just get at them.

Is he actually alright? Put in a cross that resulted in a shot on target, harassed their defence, had a shot himself from an angle rather than passing the buck... Keep going.

The best part was when he attacked their fullback with his pace and went past him and their fullback brought him down and got a yellow card for it.

Just keep doing that.

it's great to hear he got the backing of the crowd tonight, a realisation he's been somewhat struggling. I bet he feels better about himself tonight, let this be the platform for better things

Nail on the head. Shouldn't ever get on the case of lads giving it their all.

I missed it as I left early to avoid the queues, but I'm amazed that i) he has a chant (that doesn't begin with "get out of our club...") and ii) he responded to the positivity with an above average performance. The mind boggles.

You can ease off for a day or two now.

Genuinely mate. Are you ok?

About a week or two ago, you were a good poster and one who's posts I enjoyed reading and agreed with. I'm reaching for the ignore button now though and it's a bit sad.

We all get wound up at times with other people views and can maybe respond at the time, but you seem incapable of letting go.

Maybe a period off here might do you good.

Still needs a goal to get started. Think he will be far more useful once that happens. But nice to see the crowd supporting him the last few games. Benefits no one to get on players backs when they are wearing our shirt.

Crowd reaction towards him sounded fantastic and it clearly gave him a massive confidence boost. Needs a goal or an assist but I still wouldn't write him off just yet. There's definitely more positive signs appearing.

Wasn't that for Trips giving the armband to Miley?

Nah there was definitely a concerted effort to back Elanga. I've never actually a heard a song about him before but it was constant for a good few minutes.
