In which case there’s probably an argument to say Wissa was a striker/winger when Toney was there, but became the main striker with Thiago injured, so getting a striker/winger in Ouattara, is replacing what Wissa originally was.

Not to confuse things further  but…

What formation are Brentford looking to play this season? Who’s been their left sided forward recently? Or was it 442?

Think it's time to hit Brentford with a deadline now. We know how long it takes us to sort deals out so if we've to move on we're already up shit creek as it is. We need this to happen or move on in the next day or two.

They don’t want to sell him, hiring them with a deadline will just get them to blame us to Wissa and keep him.

Deadline for Wissa? Wow. Rather we ignored him totally if Brentford are playing hard ball and move on to someone else.

Nearly all clubs will be aware of our urgent need to sign a striker and play hard ball, it is what it is.

Staying up is worth more to them than 35 million this year, he is probably one of their best hopes. Guess they'd rather lose him for nowt next year.

Their biggest problem is he is doing an Isak and cunting them off currently

Whilst that is true, he could still refuse to play and then they'll have no money and also no Wissa by next summer anyway.

Same problem we have with Isak, except we have money and aren't going to be relegated.
