Mattoon Posted March 11 Share Posted March 11 Fwiw I don't think he's disinterested, he's come back from his first ever real injury and it was a pretty bad one, which has probably knocked his confidence but I also think he shoulders some of the blame himself because he's come back unfit, he's clearly put on a bit of timber which makes me feel like he didn't train as hard as he should have in his rehabilitation. I don't think we see a fully fit Wissa this season, but with a proper preseason under his belt under Howe I think we will see a different animal next season. Wissa should be our plan A ST now WITHOUT changing our style or play. He should be able to break the lines like what Osula did last night. At the very least he should be subbed in for Osula. If he does eventually come good it should also put pay to the idea of paying the PL experience premium. If it still takes a season to get up to speed even with experience from the league then we may as well buy from abroad and give them the same time to get adjusted.
